Mark off boxes

I am trying to create a form which will use check boxes in it. I tried to use the \bigsquare character for the check box and put in in an itemize list. The \bigsquare character, however does not display however in the itemized list, but will display by itself. What do you normally do for check boxes? Here is a minimal example: ----------------------------- \definesymbol[5]{\bigsquare} \starttext This is a big square: \bigsquare \startitemize[5] \item Choice a does not have a check box. \item Choice b also does not have a check box. \item Not really a choice. No checkbox (bitsquare) here either. \stopitemize \stoptext ----------------

No hyphenation in Bulgarian

Hi, I have to typeset a Bulgarian document but the hyphenation doesn’t work. The lang-bg.lua file is not loaded, according to the log. (All four lang-bg files are present in /tex/texmf-context/tex/context/patterns/) \usetypescriptfile[type-gentium] \usetypescript[gentium] \setupbodyfont[gentium,12pt] \mainlanguage [bg] \starttext \hyphenatedword{програмираната} \stoptext Do I have to do anything special, in addition to \mainlanguage [bg] ? Russian hyphenation does work. Thanks for any advice. -- Tom

Why is context.mkii out of date?

Hi, I created some documents with MKII and started wondering why pdfinfo was showing Creator: ConTeXt - 2013.06.07 17:34 Producer: pdfTeX-1.40.16 CreationDate: Sun May 3 11:18:14 2015 ModDate: ConTeXt - 2013.06.07 17:34 I first thought that I accidentally used TeX Live 2013 and had to tripple-check until I realized that context.mkii actually defines \edef\contextversion{2013.06.07 17:34} Why is that? While I understand that MkII is basically frozen, it would be nice if pdf reported the version of ConTeXt that was actually used. (ModDate might also be wrong. In MkIV it's the same as CreationDate. And in MkIV Creator uses one extra space at the beginning.) Thank you, Mojca

Font problems.

On the same source file Texlive 2004 context (mkiv) can find files that a more recent stand alone version of context can't. I need to set something somewhere so that the stand alone version can find files in /usr/share/fonts/OTF. I call the stand alone version from a script called "Context" in /usr/local/bin: -------------------------------- . /home/safe/context/tex/setuptex context $1 ------------------------------------- /home/safe is my home directory. Stand alone context is in /home/safe/context. Right Margin Being ignored bug?

The following minimal example demonstrate how a series of underscores in not handled right with regards to right margins. I realize there are a few rules command and I plan to use them in the future but for now I am just trying to port old forms into ConText and have them be usable. Any ideas on how I can get ConText to split the lines and honor the righ margin space? Thanks

buffers writing CR only instead of proper newlines (LF)

Hi, The gnuplot module recently stopped working because the buffers now seem to write out the CR (0x0d) instead of the LF character for newlines. Here's a minimal example as shamelessly stolen from the module: \long\def\startXheader {\def\stopXheader{\ifx\savebuffer\undefined \else \savebuffer[x-header]\fi}% \dostartbuffer[x-header][startXheader][stopXheader]} \def\resetXheader {\immediate\openout\scratchwrite=\jobname-x-header.tmp \immediate\closeout\scratchwrite} \resetXheader \starttext \startXheader hello bachotex \stopXheader \stoptext The problem is that I end up with a file with what vim shows as "hello^Mbachotex" (^M = character 0x0d / CR). This works properly in TL 2014. Any hints greatly appreciated. Thank you very much, Mojca

Check the character after a macro

Hello, Is it possible to check (in a macro definition) if the character following the macro is included in a set of characters? Something that could work like this: \def\MyMacro#1{% \ifNextCharIn{abcd} \dothis% \else \dothat% \fi% } Cheers.

Synonyms’ \infull doesn’t work anymore

Hi, starting with the Beta from 16 April I have a problem with synonyms. The \infull part doesn’t work anymore. Example: ``` \definesynonyms [Tea] [Teas] [\fullTea] \setupsynonyms [Tea] [synonymstyle=italic] \Tea [tFop] {FOP} {Flowery Orange Pekoe} \starttext \tFop\ is ‘\fullTea{tFop}’. \stoptext ``` I can make it work again with some hackery in the strc-syn.mkiv file: If I copy back the line `\simplelistparameter\c!textcommand{\clf_synonymmeaning{#1}{#2}}%` (e.g. from the Beta 14 April) into the `strc_synonyms_insert_meaning` definition (at line ~338) it works again.
