Hello, the following sample generates section title "5 Sec" as a last/solitary heading (section) on the page. ---- \starttext \dorecurse{5}{ \section{Sec} \subsection{Subsec} \input ward } \stoptext ---- Is there a way to bind it with the next head (subsection) - so that "5 Sec", "5.1 Subsec" (and at least one line of the following paragraph) would be together on one page? setupheads separator and stopper

Hello list members: contextgarden wiki site http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Command/setupheads says that the \setupheads command "has been reported non-working for some people". For me the alternative=inmargin/normal options work, but the separator= and stopper= options have no effect. I would like my chapter, section etc numbers to have a dot after them, eg 1. 1.1. etc. How could I achieve this? Just in curiousity, how can I change the separator? Thanks in advance, bcsikos

how to insert symbols into document?

Hello context users: I would like to insert symbols into my document, especially black-diamond and losenge symbols. I read symbols page at contextgarden but still don't know how to do it. I also tried \showsymbolset[was] etc but the symbols but I did not find these (and many other symbols either) in the output pages. I found that symb-imp-mis.mkiv file defines this symbol (line 49) but I don't know how to make it show. Do I have to load specific symbol fonts? If yes how can I find out which font has the given symbols? What I tried so far included: % begin code \usesymbols[imp-mis] \starttext ◆ \blackdiamond \symbol [blackdiamond] % end code None of these show anything. Thanks in advance, bcsikos

Roman numerals in running heads in frontmatter.

When I set up running heads in frontmattter like this: \definestructureconversionset[frontpart:pagenumber][][romannumerals] \setupheadertexts [{\getmarking[title]}] [{\pagenumber}] [{\pagenumber}] [{\Titlea}] (where \Titlea is a string containing the book title) everything is fine except the page numbers in the running heads are in arabic and not roman format. On the footers on \title pages the numbers are roman as expected.. ConTeXt Suite in Windows

Dear list, I have downloaded the ConTeXt Suite (beta from 2015.04.14 18:48)for Win32 and Win64 in my Linux box using: sh ./first-setup.sh --platform=windows --modules=all sh ./first-setup.sh --platform=win64 --modules=all But when I try to run them, I experience the following issues: With the Win32 version, mtxrunjit is found by Windows 7, but contextjit cannot be found. The binary is in its proper path. Withe the Win64 version, contextjit is found, but mtxrunjit cannot be found. In this case, I need to run "mtxrunjit --generate" first, because invoking contextjit gives the following error: mtxrun | unknown script 'context.lua' or 'mtx-context.lua' Why are some binaries found by Windows and others not? \setuphead for all existing sections

Hello, is there a way to affect (setup) all sections that have been defined, like: ---- \setuphead[*][distance=1.5em] ---- instead of: ---- \setuphead[part,chapter,section,subsection,subsubsection][distance=1.5em] ---- The latter way needs to know all section names; the former way allows to modify them all, without knowledge of their individual names. Oddity with \definereferenceformat

A reference to the text of a multi-line heading takes on the line breaks of the heading when \definereferenceformat[about] is used. \definereferenceformat[about][type=title,left=,right=] \starttext \startsection[reference={sec:one}, title={Three\\line\\title}] \startparagraph See \about[sec:one]. \stopparagraph \stopsection \stoptext Can this be repaired? vertical spacing and makeups

Shouldn’t white space be added only between paragraphs? The second page is right vertically centered. And the third page shows that the white space isn’t added before the first paragraph in a normal page (no makeup). This is the first issue, isn’t it a bug? Or what am I missing? The second issue is about the line height. If I didn’t get it wrong from Hans some days ago, line height is the x-height, plus ascender and descender heights. In vertical centering for makeups, why does ascender or descender height affect to basline position? Sorry, but this is a problem for readability. And it think it is better to center the line instead than a group of glyphs. Or am I missing something in this second issue too? Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk
