2013.03.21 broken nightly?

Hey list, The last few nightlies, including the most recent one I have installed, 2013.03.21, keeps bailing when attempting to typeset one of my documents with the same error: ! [***SPAM***] Headers on Empty Page at End of Chapter

Hello, When you setup your chapters such that a chapter always starts on a right page, you naturally get the occasional empty left page just before that. I have my headers setup like this \setupheadertexts[chapter][section] I get the chapter and section name of the previous section printed in the header of that empty page, but I want that page just empty. Having text overflow an image

I have a few large plots that each should take up an entire landscape A3 paper sheet. There is a heading above it. Can I print it on top of the image (overflowing it)? Exactly what I was thinking: pavneet@darjiling:~$ more .mailcap application/pdf; evince %s I like evince because it also doesn't lock the PDF file, and auto-refreshes the view when updated. It also has/can have a space efficient toolbar structure, which works great on my little netbook: Asus EEE 701 running Bodhi Linux off an SD card---my favourite writing environment by far. So no wrapper needed except for first invocation which puts evince in the background. Possible bug with new \start ... \stop way for title, chapter, subject, etc.?

I was trying to implement the solution provided by this thread: http://www.mail-archive.com/ntg-context@ntg.nl/msg51152.html and it works very well. However, finding a problem related to this implementation, I found that the output of the new \start ... \stop versions of the title, section, chapter, subject, etc. commands is different from the old \title, \chapter, \subject, etc. As you can see in the following MWE, the new implementation indents the first paragraph of the given section, by some amount (even different from the default for paragraphs). french character spacing in footnotes

The following code has the right character spacing spacing in the body text but not in the footnote. \startcomponent Test \mainlanguage[fr] \setcharacterspacing[frenchpunctuation] Le début est lacunaire; le début est lacunaire: le début est lacunaire. Cloze Text (text with gaps)

Hi list I wonder if I can typeset a cloze text using context. The gaps (__________) must have a given length (say in cm or the length of a given word, given sentence) and must break at the end of a line. \hl[4] is nice but won't do the trick since it won't break. \fillinline and others fill the hole line, but I only want to fill a given size. Are there some ideas how to deal with it? Example: The name of the _____________ is _____ ________. And now it's time to go to bed. Some more text..... Hope you get the point. Hi All, I have been following this thread with some amusement. There is no real optimal answer to this question short of developing a dedicated pdfviewer for ConTeXt. But, is this the best use of our resources. Furthermore, how about a dedicated editor? ;-)) (just joking, but I am sure somebody would come with the idea eventually, once we start down this path) As a Mac user, and one that shys away from using X. I use TeXShop. TeXShop has a multiplatform counterpart TeXWorks, distributed with TeXLive. It has a integrated pdf viewer with SyncTeX functionality. Its pdf viewer is based on Poppler. How good it is I can not say. But, it should not be two hard to extract it and turn it into a standalone. I think it could work as an adequate viewer. If someone then needs to use something better they can write the scripts they need themselves. Maybe, the TeXWorks guys could help. regards Keith

how to use \dimexpr and fractional values

Hi all, long story short: I want to calculate a width or height from user input, which is in the form "0.x" (as in "0.3\textwidth") since I want to use that number differently in different circumstances. Problem is that \dimexpr doesn't like decimal values. Example (uncomment second \externalfigure to see the problem): \starttext \def\myfactor{0.3} \externalfigure[mill][height=\myfactor\textwidth] %\externalfigure[mill][height=\dimexpr10cm*\myfactor\relax] \stoptext (silly, but shows my problem). How can I obtain an image of height "0.3*10cm" from my \myfactor macro? I tried to get my head around \numexpr etc. in the etex manual, but couldn't really figure out what to do.
