MAC (preview, finder) and ConTeXt pdf

Hello, A colleague who uses a very recent MacBook with the latest MacOS has a problem with PDF files that I provide produced with ConTeXt/luatex. It appears that he cannot search for words (text) in the document, neither with preview nor in the finder (they must be based on the same code). However, I had him install Adobe Reader, and using this he can search for text in the ConTeXt produced document, so I do not believe that the PDF has a problem, rather this is a bug with the Apple PDF tools. Does anyone else using MacOS have any experience with this? Or can you all search for text (words) within ConTeXt produced PDF documents using preview and the finder? Thank you Alan

Enclosing the year in round brackets in online citation.

Hello, A question to the \cite command. Following, http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Bibliography I defined \def\onlinecite{\cite[left=,right=]} so that I can cite bib-entries online in the text. However, I need to enclose the year of a citation in round-brackets. At the moment, I get: Jon Doe, 2013, has shown that... But I need: Jon Doe (2013) has shown that..., as this is required. I couldn't find any reference what I can do with \cite and what possibilities there are. Any idea? Thank you for your help. Thomas

Thanks Khaled, very sad, it is very nice. You can find it here in action: http://quranflash.com/quranflash.html (But not as typed font, only pictures I think). Ok, doesn't matter, if impossible, then impossible. Next question: With the font file "maddina.ttf" I have the same problems. But this font is clearly not broken, you can download it here: http://www.searchfreefonts.com/free/quran-madina.htm (or see attachment of this mail). But is the problem here? Huseyin

Font problems

Hi there, I cant run the font "ramnaclq-webfont.ttf" (see attachment) in Context. After the command "mtxrun --script fonts --reload" and "mtxrun --script font --list --all ramna" I get: > ramnaclassiqueregular ramnaclassique c:/windows/fonts/ramnaclq-webfont.ttf So the font is installed, correct? But it can not be used in Context, test this: \definefont[amiri][file:ramnaclq-webfont.ttf*arabic at 17 pt] \define[1]\Arab{\setupalign[r2l]\amiri#1} \starttext \Arab{ نَسْتَعِينُ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ } \stoptext Then the text in the pdf is not there. Window with scroll function

Dear All, For presenting codes, verbatim environment is suitable. But different with documents, it is better to present the code in one slide when making presentation.Is it possible to make a scroll window like in many websites? Thanks.

Problem with hidden text

Hello ConTeXist. I have a problem with hidden text.When I compile minimal example (ala ConTeXtgarden example): \starttext Visible text: \input tufte \startproperty[hidden] Hidden text: \input tufte \stopproperty \stoptext then I get errormessage: (C:/context/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/sample/tufte.tex) ! Missing \endcsname inserted. Problem is in last context standalone and context texlive 2012 too. Thanx Jaroslav Hajtmar

question about the layer.

Dear Wolfgang, I read your detailed explanation about the difference between "overlay" and "layer". Here is your sample code using layer. \starttext \definelayer[test] \setlayer[test][x=3cm,y=6cm]{ONE} \setlayer[test][x=8cm,y=2cm]{TWO} \setlayer[test][x=2cm,y=9cm]{THREE} \flushlayer[test] \stoptext It shows ONE, TWO, and THREE in the same page. I'd like to show each word one by one when I click, so I tested the following code. \setupinteraction[state=start] \usemodule[pre-60] \starttext \definelayer[test1] \definelayer[test2] \definelayer[test3] \setlayer[test1][x=3cm,y=6cm]{ONE} \setlayer[test2][x=8cm,y=2cm]{TWO} \setlayer[test3][x=2cm,y=9cm]{THREE} \StartSteps \flushlayer[test1] \FlushStep \flushlayer[test2] \FlushStep \flushlayer[test3] \FlushStep \StopSteps \stoptext This code produces 3 page output one word per each page.
