Can't use \type{\} in a footnote

Hi, I think these codes is normal in context, \starttext aa\footnote{I can't get a backslash \type{\} in footnote!} \stoptext Since I have changed the catcode of `\` using `\type`, why can I not still use \type{\} in a footnote? Tim

use plain LuaTeX in ConTeXt standalone

Hi, many context users are also luatex user, and the context standalone also contains luatex binary (windows). I input the 'luatex' in the cmd, but it can't work. The message is as follows: d:\>luatex luatex This is LuaTeX, Version beta-0.77.0-2013041621 (rev 4633) \write18 enabled. **\relax I can't find the format file `luatex.fmt'!kpathsea: Running mktexfmt luatex.fmtThe command name is D:\context\tex\texmf-mswin\bin\mktexfmt Since there is not mktexfmt in the context standalone, is that mean I can't use plain luatex in the context standalone?

The reason for the use of the layer is the following: If I use frames of the natural table, then I have this: \def\arde[#1][#2]{% \bTABLE \setupTABLE[frame=off] \setupTABLE[c][1][rightframe=on] \bTR \bTD #1 \eTD \bTD #2 \eTD \eTR \eTABLE} \setuptolerance[tolerant,stretch] \starttext \arde[\input knuth][\input knuth] \arde[\input knuth][\input knuth] \stoptext There you can see the problem, you have to zoom into the pdf: Between the two tables, there is a tiny tiny (!) space betweeen the vertical lines. Its not a big issue, but it is there. Huseyin

Layer for all pages and for specific pages

Hi, I use a vertical line (realized as a layer) for a bilingual project. My question is: 1. How can I set this line on all pages? 2. How can I control, on which pages it is set, and on which not? I tried it with state=start/stop/repeat, but that did not work. Here my try: \definelayer[mybg] [x=0mm, y=0mm, width=\paperwidth, height=\paperheight] \setlayer[mybg] [hoffset=10cm, voffset=4cm] {\blackrule[width=1pt, height=\vsize, depth=0.5ex]} \setupbackgrounds[page][background=mybg] \setuptolerance[tolerant,stretch] \starttext \input knuth \page \input knuth \stoptext Thanks for help. Any ideas, where this bug comes from? Seems weird, that it affects only one sinlg lettercombination, in other programms this do not occur. Thanks. Huseyin

[***SPAM***] heading in margin -> strange extra vertical spaces

Hi, I want to display the lowest heading in the outer margin. But as soon the simple text becomes a heading, a strange extra line appears on top of the margin. In my minimum example below the first paragraph shows how it should look like in the pdf-file; the second paragraph is with a heading in the margin. Can anyone tell me, a) how to get rid of the unwanted extra vertical space? b) Why is the line-break in the margin of the second paragraph different than above? Alternative rendering of some TOC levels

Hello, how to change the way ("alternative") how a particular level - e.g. sections - are rendered in TOC? I tried: ---- \setupcombinedlist [content] [alternative=c] \setuplist [section] [alternative=b] %\setupcombinedlist % [content] % [section] % [alternative=b] \starttext \placecontent \chapter{Ch} \section{Sec} \subsection{SSec} \input knuth \stoptext ---- This should change the "alternative" for section to be "b" (i.e. page numbers without filling dots), whilst the default look should be "alternative" "c" (i.e. dots and page numbers). But my code doesn't produce the desired result - all TOC members are using "alternative" "c". What is the true way to achieve it? TIA. Best regads, Lukas -- Ing. Blank page when using natural table.
