Hi, I have asked this question on tex.stackexchange.com http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/113592/formulas-in-context-are-diffe… as the title said, formulas typeset by ConTeXt are different from those by plain TeX. [luatex-fonts] font cache behavior

Hi all, this document: \font\foo="file:LinLibertine_R.otf:+onum;mode=node;" \foo foo 12345 whatever \bye works correctly if the font is uncached but leads to garbled output in firefox’s pdf plugin if the font is loaded from cache. Afaics none of the other viewers are affected. Also I haven’t found another font that does this. Libertine fonts: http://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxlibertine/files/linuxlibertine/5.3.0/ (First observed by Luigi.) What is going on here? Philipp

font-age vs. font-agl

Hi all, the glyph list is a bit of a conundrum. Context (font-enc.lua) will build its glyph list from font-agl.lua and char-def.lua. Luatex-Fonts reads a file named font-age.lua, which is, however, some 500 character definitions short of the canonical Glyph List from Adobe’s resources [1]. On the other hand, font-age contains these definitions table={ ["SF10000"]=9484, ["SF20000"]=9492, ["SF30000"]=9488, ["SF40000"]=9496, ["SF50000"]=9532, ["SF60000"]=9516, ["SF70000"]=9524, ["SF80000"]=9500, ["SF90000"]=9508, ["afii208"]=8213, } which Adobe denotes padded as SF010000;250C SF020000;2514 SF030000;2510 SF040000;2518 SF050000;253C SF060000;252C SF070000;2534 SF080000;251C SF090000;2524 afii00208;2015 I’m not sure what to make of these differences and how they came to pass except for some older posts in the list archive [2]. So I’m asking for practical reasons: Are the differences of any significance? Can I use either list or should I stick with font-age? Set layout for the first page of Chapters

Hi, when designing some documents, I hope I can set a global layout and another layout for the first page of all chapters. I have defined two layouts as follows: \setuppagenumbering [alternative=doublesided, location=] % global layout for the whole document \setuplayout [backspace=2.5cm, width=16.5cm, topspace=2cm, height=25.2cm, header=\lineheight, headerdistance=\lineheight, footer=0cm] % layout for the first page of Chapters \definelayout [firstpage] [height=26.2cm, footerdistance=\lineheight, footer=\lineheight] \starttext \chapter{First Chapter} I am in the first page. \page I am in the second page. \stoptext my question is that how I can apply this `firstpage' layout to the first page of the chapter `First Chapter' and switch back to the global layout after the first page of this chapter? Obtaining the current font

Hi, in the gnuplot module the following macro is used for the TikZ terminal: \def\calculateGNUPLOTcharsize{% \global\GNUPLOThcharsize=1.05\fontcharwd\font`0% \global\GNUPLOTvcharsize=1.05\fontcharht\font`0% \global\advance\GNUPLOTvcharsize by 1.05\fontchardp\font`g% } What are \font`0 and font`g? AFAIK the backtick converts the character to the character code, which means it yields \font48 and \font103. The goal is to get the current font, right? Why is the current font width and height addressed with `0 and the depth with `g? And when do `0 and `g result in different values? In my tests they were always the same. Marco

mpgraphics confusion

I am a bit confused about the metafum graphis. In the manual (2012) I read (screen version after page 203 section 3.3) the following. \startuseMPgraphic-\useMPgraphic "this graphic is calculated each time it is placed". \startreusableMPgraphic-\reuseMPgraphic "for graphics that don't change". \startuniqueMPgraphic-\uniqueMPgraphic "this graphic is calculated for each distinctive case". I fail to see in what respect startuseMPgraphic en startuniqueMPgraphic do differ? Can someone please explain? Hans van der Meer

missing chars in cid-keyed font table

Hi, With AdobeMyungjoStd-Medium.otf, I cannot typeset some chinese characters. Here is a simple tex source: \starttext \definedfont[name:adobemyungjostdmedium] 黃金빛 \stoptext U+9EC3 黃 and U+91D1 金 are missing in the pdf. Incidentally, during font cache I get a bunch of warning messages as follows: otf loading > weird, unicode U+09EC3 points to U+02FC8 with index 0x01EF7 Regards, -- Dohyun Kim Seoul, Republic of Korea
