Hello, from the wiki (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Math/basic#List_of_All_Math_macros) I tryed the following snippet: \usemodule[fnt-25] \showmathfontcharacters But context complains that there is no fnt-25 module, so let’s grep showmathfontcharacters in conteXt directory. I found that it is defined into the mat-10 module. Wide descriptions protruding into the margin

Hi, with wide description heads I have the problem that the following description protrudes into the margin. \definedescription [description] [alternative=hanging, width=broad] \starttext \startdescription{conclusion that} \input knuth \stopdescription \startdescription{conclusion that the designer of a new system must not only be literally} \input knuth \stopdescription \stoptext In the second case the “Thus,” should be placed on the line after the head. How do I achieve that? My current workaround is to append a \hbox{ } to the problematic entries. Marco

Trying to rebuild context-beginner

Hello, As I'm new with ConTeXt, I'm playing around and look at how the manuals are made, to understand some of the subtilities of ConTeXt. So I've tried to create the pdf of context-beginner. And I've got a problem, probably a beginner mistake :-D but I would like to know how to solve it! so while doing "make en-screen" in the context-beginner, I get the following error: (...) systems : end file ma-cb-style at line 13 systems : begin file ma-cb-setups at line 14 (../ma-cb-setups.tex systems : begin file t-setup at line 20 (../t-setup.tex system : module set-02 (mkii) loaded (/home/fc065089/context/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/x- set-02.mkii ! I can't find file `mult-en()'. l.28 \input mult-\userinterfacetag() (Press Enter to retry, or Control-D to exit) (...) So I've found out after a while, that I need to write "mult-en.mkii", and it works, until it needs it again, and then I need to write it again. So I've search a bit more, and I found that if I change the file context/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/x-set-02.mkii (...) \input mult-\userinterfacetag (...) to (...) \input mult-\userinterfacetag.mkii (...) Then everything works, and I don't have to enter manually the extension .mkii. So my question is this normal? Should I really modify this x-set-02 file? Sincerely yours, Alessandro

Change color of EPS file.

Hello, I have a EPS file wich contains black lines and no background. The background of my presentation is colored, so I would like to put this figure in white. I tried a \startcolor … \stopcolor environement without succed. Is there a way to do so? In last resort I can put a white background with: \placefigure[left,none]{caption}{\externalfigure[demo-b][background=color,backgroundcolor=white]} Best regards

Lucida fonts

I have recently installed TeXLive 2012, and my Lucida (Type 1) fonts from TUG are installed in the texmf-local tree and function properly when using TeXLive 2011, but it seems that ConTeXt cannot find the fonts for 2012. The instuctions on the wiki do not seem to add a solution for me. I would appreciate any help in the process for installing these fonts for TL2012. Troy Henderson

setuphead broken?

Hi, \setuphead seems to be broken for me in recent context (following upgrade of a ~year-old system). Problem happens when use the command= key. Adaptive section structuring

Hi, I am often surprised that some nice-to-have feature is already present in ConTeXt and I just wasn't aware. But I am not sure about this one. Is there something like an adaptive structure code which keeps track of the nesting level? In this example the first structure would become the chapter, the second one a section, etc. \starttext \startstructure [title=Alpha] \startstructure [title=Beta] \startstructure [title=Gamma] \stopstructure \stopstructure \stopstructure \stoptext This would ease moving around sections, which might end up as subsections and vice versa. Dear Pol stra, I run your sample and got the same error. After changing pre-stepwise to pre-60, I run it again, but the same error occurs. > !LuaTeX error: There should have been a lua <node> here, not an object with type string! > ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced! > I checked my file which include \StartSteps … \StopSteps and got the same error. It was working well before. Unfortunately, I don't know what is the problem. Experts will answer to it soon. References to annotations broken, mkiv

Hello, the recent update of the Annotation module (2012.09.05), mkiv broke the references to annotations for me: \usemodule[annotation] \defineannotation[definition][text=Definition,number=yes] \starttext \definition[reference=def1]{blabla} In \in{Definition}[def1] ... \stoptext In the example above the rather strange output is: Definition 2 blabla In Definition 1 ... In addition, I do not know how to correctly get the annotation counter displayed in a 'bychapter'-style. I tried: \usemodule[annotation] \definenumber[DefinitionCounter][prefix=yes,way=bysection] \defineannotation[definition][text=Definition,number=yes,counter=DefinitionCounter] \starttext \chapter{A chapter} \section{A section} Counter: \getnumber[DefinitionCounter] \definition[reference=def1]{blabla} Counter: \getnumber[DefinitionCounter] In \in{Definition}[def1] blabla ... \stoptext Again the behavior of the counter is really weird. Now I get "Definition 1.1.2 blabla", but \in[def1] just shows "1" instead of "1.1.2". I sincerely hope for clarification! Best regards, Dominik
