Arbitrary font size

I would like to know if there is a command like \tfn{0.9} which would allow the user to specify an arbitrary font scale factor since the built-in \tfa, \tfb, \tfc, \tfd, \tfx, and \tfxx are insufficient for one of my projects. Troy Henderson

Check brackets and parentheses

Hi, I sometimes find myself looking for misplaced and missing brackets for a long time, as context may given errors about a completely different location. For example this one took me a while \goto{\url[localhost20381}[url(localhost20381)] (missing ] after this localhost20381). Is there a SciTE or Notepad++ or command line script that anyone wrote to help with this? It can be more or less sophisticated, but I found that missing / mismatched { [ ] } give the most confusing errors. Thanks, Best regards/vriendelijke groeten Gilbert

nested alignment?

Hi, Some math symbols seem to be failing with the latest nightly build. setuppagenumber

Is \setuppagenumber broken? Or do it misuse it? In the next minimal example the pagenumbers are not reset after the third page, as I would expect. linenumbering per page

Hi, I would like to place line numbers in a multipage document. \startlinenumbering lots of text filling several pages \stoplinenumbering What I would like to have, and fail to find, is an option to that would restart the numbering on every page as I do not need to reference each line. e.g. finding line 15 on page 6 is fine. \setuplinenumbering doesn't seem to provide an option. Anything I can do? Thanks! Martin

itemize behaviour

I do not understand the workings of the itemize. What I want is two nested itemlists. The outer one unpacked, the inner one packed. In the inner one the itemlist should be joinedup with the text before it. I do not get this working, see the examples. The inner list is separated from the "Intro to inner list". It looks like the joinedup in the second example has no effect, because deleting it makes no difference. Switching the joinedup over to the outer itemize in the third example pulls everything together and destroys the unpacked of the first list. clutter with \start and \stop

Hi, Say I want Tufte in 2 columns and Knuth in 1 column: --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- \starttext \startcolumns[n=2] \startsection[title=Tufte] \input tufte \stopsection \startsection[title=Tufte and Knuth] \input tufte \stopcolumns \input knuth % \startcolumns[n=1] knuth \stopcolumns does not work \startcolumns[n=2] \input tufte \stopsection \stopcolumns \stoptext --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- It works, but isn't this a bit ugly to mix up the \starts and \stops ? In XML, that would be wrong. Is this just the normal ConTeXt way, or is there a cleaner method? TIA for any hints, -- Peter

Sorry, missed the inclusion of the output of the minimal example. In the ConTeXT manual I see that a construct \framed{A\\B\\C} should type set as three lines below each other: A B C But instead the \\'s disappear without a trace. Did I miss some change on the use of \\'s<smb://'s> in \framed? Could it be a sideeffect of recent changes? Hans van der Meer
