(Yesterday’s beta in suite=minimals, OSX-Intel) With \setupbackend[export=example.xml,xhtml=example.xhtml,css=example.css] in my project’s environment, I get both "example.xml" and "example.xhtml" (as well as "example- images.css" and "example-style.css"), starting with the same content (up to line 857 in my case), but the .xhtml stops after the first \stoppart, while the .xml contains all four parts. mtxrun --script epub --make example insists on copying a file named exactly "example.xhtml" to the ePub tree. Using \setupbackend[export=example.xhtml,xhtml=test.xhtml,css=example.css] both "example.xhtml" and "test.xhtml" are identical, complete *and* both copied to the epub tree (ToC refers to test.xhtml, the other is ignored). Since none of my browsers or epub readers likes this XML format, I guess I’ll need to apply a XSL transformation to create HTML. Ok... Looking at "mtx-epub.lua" I understand why none of my setups (i.e. author, title) has any effect on the output. Seems like we need to fix that manually - unzip the epub, fix it, re- pack... Ok, thanks Luigi. This is how I sorted it out, hope it may help someone. It looks like I should write a typescript and a symbol definition file, but I new to this and don't know how to do it yet. This is a workaround for the meantime: - Download the free True Type font "Zapf Dingbats BT" from http://www.ufonts.com/fonts/zapf-dingbats-bt.html - You should have got the file ufonts.com_zapf-dingbats-bt-2.ttf or an EXE file -an installer- - In windows 7 it may be installed by clicking "install" -context menu, right mouse click- - Generate Context font database: mtxrun --script fonts --reload - Check it's been read: mtxrun --script fonts --list --all --pattern=zapf* - You should have several lines like "zapfdingbatsbt zapfdingbatsitcbybtregular c:/windows/fonts/ufonts.com_zapf-dingbats-bt-2.ttf" - Finally this is how I get the characters I need: \definefont[zapfdingbats][ufonts.com_zapf-dingbats-bt-2.ttf at 10pt] \starttext Testing: {\zapfdingbats \char109} %shadowed white circle \stoptext

Dear listmates, with \switchtobodyfont I get the interface message “fonts:14” from mult-mes.lua (“bodyfont %s is defined (can better be done global)”) which is kinda hard to grep for :( Example: \definebodyfont[42pt][rm][default] \starttext \switchtobodyfont [42pt] \setupbodyfont [42pt] \stoptext Which results in: ········································································ <... /> fonts > bodyfont 42pt is defined (can better be done global) fonts > bodyfont 50.4pt is defined (can better be done global) fonts > bodyfont 40.32pt is defined (can better be done global) <... /> ········································································ (\setupbodyfont doesn’t cause it.) It seems harmless but (a) I have a conditional font change that may repeat hundreds of times over the course of a document and it clutters my terminal, and (b) it’s a warning after all, so everything is not as it is supposed to be. Caption next to figure

Hello all, I am trying to convert a document with a lot of small figures in the margin into a more kindle friendly format. In order to do that, I want to have a small figure in the text with an adjacent figure caption. How can I achieve that? space between footnotes

Hi there, I'm trying to add some space between footnotes, such as: \setupnotation[footnote][numbercommand=,inbetween=\hskip.25em] \starttext \dorecurse{5}{foot\footnote{note}} \stoptext But neither inbetween or before work here, only after seems to work (with beta from 2012.05.30). Process stops

I am trying to process a document I wrote in 2009 using mkii. I am modifying it to work with mkiv. When I run context mydoc.tex the process starts and after some time it stops and shows an asterisk (*) waiting for a command. I then type in "\end", and it resumes. Finally it ouputs "mydoc.pdf". There are still some things to fix (ie section numbers) but in general the document is ok. I can't see any "error" message although I got a lot of "Overfull \hbox..." and "Underfull \hbox..." messages. What can be the reason?

Zapf Dingbats font

Can the Zapf Dingbats font be used in MKIV? I can't do it work I have downloaded the symb-uni-zapf.zip<http://dl.contextgarden.net/websitesarchive/atl/tex/symb-uni-zapf.zip> file from http://dl.contextgarden.net/websitesarchive/atl/tex/. Then I unpacked it and copied the .tfm, .enc and .map files in texmf-context/fonts as well as symb-uzd.tex in texmf-context/tex/context/third I then run mtxrun --script fonts --reload and context --generate I tried usetypescriptfile[symb-uzd.tex] \usesymbols[uzd] \symbol[Unicode Shadowed Shapes][LowerRightDrop-shadowedWhiteSquare] but it doesn't work. Any ideas?

System font searching suddenly stopped

Hello, Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm a novice ConTeXt user, switching from LaTeX and without so much time :( I made some time ago a very small test document using the nice Delicious font, which I put in /usr/share/fonts/opentype/exljbris/ (under Debian). This is the straightforward document: \usemodule[simplefonts] \setmainfont[Delicious] \mainlanguage [it] \setupbodyfont [10pt] \setupheadertexts [] \starttext Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet \stoptext It worked without a problem, as the pdf remembered me. Now, I tried to compile it again, but it doesn't find the Delicious font anymore; on the contrary, it doesn't find system fonts anymore. I followed the instructions in the TeX Live Guide, ran mtxrun --script fonts --reload and context --generate again, without any change. However, I noticed that the mtxrun doesn't walk into the /usr/share/fonts directory, but only inside those from TeX Live. Have you any idea of what's happening? If you need them I can attach the output of any of these scripts. Thank you very much for your help, Marco
