Can someone tell me what \xmlinclude is supposed to do? I have experimented a lot but didn't come further to an understanding. I have called it through: \startxmlsetups xam:include \xmlinclude{#1}{include}{file} \stopxmlsetups from a node include in: <problem><include file="functions.xml"/></problem> and indeed \enabletrackers[lxml.loading]gives me in the log: xml > tex > loading file './xm-test-problem.xml' as 'problem' But then nothing seemed to have happened. The xml-node in that file is never seen. I checked that by listing all these nodes in the log (\xmlcommand{\xmldocument}..) The <include> and others are listed, but not the contents of the file I thought I had included. Clearly I have some misunderstanding here as to what the manual implicates. It states: "\xmlinclude{node}{lpath}{attribute} includes the file specified by attribute of the element located by lpath at node node." I take this 'node' ast the node from where the lpath is rooted, but I might be mistaken. And most of all: what happens to the included file and how can I approach/use its contents? [OT] WinEDT with Unicode support

Hello, WinEDT finally has Unicode support and the screenshot shows ConTeXt in typesetting menu as well (no idea if that runs texexec or context). http://winedt.com It has been my first TeX editor and I liked it a lot because of newbie-friendliness (lots of tex characters in menu, so no need to remember all commands, no need to deal with command line). I'm not sure how well it is adapted for ConTeXt users and it is windows only, but it has always been my nearly favourite editor. It supports both TeX Live 2011 and latest MikTeX. (Maybe I could ask Alex for additional support for ConTeXt distribution :) Mojca

Hi, this is continuing of my last question. placefigure vs grid problem

Hello, I have found that placing figures in grid mode does problems with [left,right...] parameters. The figure brokes the text flow. (It suffice to turn grid=yes.) Any solution, please? overprinting of black text – solved

Hello, I have solved my old question connected with preflight and overprinting of pure text. Now I am able to have clean output, the last warning (just info) is about the fact context files have fonts embedded like CID Type 1 fonts. I am using this colors setup: \definecolor[cmykblack][c=0,m=0,y=0,k=1] \setupcolors[rgb=no,cmyk=yes,spot=yes,textcolor=cmykblack,intent=overprint] This works well for the body. For footnotes I need to use this: \def\numfoo#1{\startcolorintent[overprint] #1 \stopcolorintent} \setupnotation[footnote][numbercommand=\numfoo,before={\startcolorintent[overprint]},after={\stopcolorintent}] Just want to share that. \setuphead and \startchapter request

I would like to use, for example, \setuphead [chapter] [after={\placecontent\blank}] But sometimes, I would like to use something like \startchapter [number=no,incrementnumber=no,after=, title={Conclusions of the first part}] \stopchapter 1. I request to have after=, (and other setup head keywords) taken into account, or some other mechanism, so as here not to \placecontent for a specific instance of \startchapter. 2. If I have: \setuplabeltext [chapter=Chapter ] % with trailing space; blank by default would there be some way to specify chapter=, (or another mechanism) to have the Chapter label blank for a specific instance of \startchapter? Aha, I've got it: \setupnotation[footnote][width=2em,alternative=] This works now. It does the same as location=page before my update. Thanks, Honza

Wow, it is pretty confusing. The last week before I updated mkiv I used to use it for numbers aligned with the left margin of the text. It means the same like serried version but with the textblock of footnotes aligned indented: TEXT ________________ 169 sdfsf ---->sdfsdfdf 170 sdfsdf Now it just does not work and I don't know what to use instead :oO Thanks, Honza
