convert color to black and white documents

Dear all, I am working on a text with plenty of figures, using modes to create both a screen and a print version. For the print version, which will be printed in black and white, I'd like to have all colors (including those of the figures) to be converted to grayscale so that I can softproof the document. Is there a way to do that in ConTeXt? I realize that these are multiple problems, addressing the conversion of the figures as well as the conversion of colored texts and other decorations that are done within ConTeXt. placefigure shifting up?

In my document I have a number of \placefigures, some pdf's, some jpg's etc. Mostly the figure are placed correct with respect to, the caption but sometimes for no apparent reason I can spot, the picture is shifted up. In the first illustration taken from the document this is clearly seen, picture and caption should be close together. Compare this with the other one. I do not have a minimal example at hand, the document is too big for that and as said, I could not yet force the behaviour. Both \placefigure's are exactly the same apart from their specific contents. Anyone who knows about this problem? For me it is quite a problem, because it ruins the document layout considerably. Luatex fatal error with math subscript and pagella font

Hi everybody. I got a fatal error from luatex when using math subscript with the pagella font. The other fonts tested are ok. Here is the minimal example: %%%% \setupbodyfont[pagella,9pt] \starttext This notation causes a fatal error: \m{x_y}. \stoptext %%%% The error is the following: !LuaTeX error: cannot open Type 1 font file for reading (qplri.pfb) ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced! buffer broken?

Something must have been changed with buffers between the versions: ConTeXt ver: 2011.11.29 18:47 MKIV fmt: 2011.12.31 and ConTeXt ver: 2012.01.09 10:08 MKIV fmt: 2012.1.11 Formerly this was ok: \startbuffer[abc] whatever \stopbuffer Now I get: ! Missing } inserted. Because running this in isolation goes without a problem, I suspect the change has to do with the project structure in which I use the buffer. But again, it worked in the past. roman pagenumbers?

Trying to use roman numerals as pagenumbers failed. What am I doing wrong or has some other thing changed? A minimal example follows. Changing romannumerals into characters doesn't make a difference. Hi, Today, I found a strange behavior of \startcombination. case 1. \placefigure[][]{} {\startcombination[3*1] {\externalfigure[cow][width=.3\makeupwidth]} {\externalfigure[cow][width=.3\makeupwidth]} {\externalfigure[cow][width=.3\makeupwidth]} \stopcombination} I got an error message as following: ..... fonts > virtual math > unable to resolve name mapsfromchar fonts > fallback modern rm 12pt is loaded !
