Hi all, I've played with text backgrounds. Please have a look at the following example. \definetextbackground [test] [location=paragraph, % frame=off, % -> no round corners anymore corner=round, % -> corner=1|2|3… would be nice leftoffset=.5\bodyfontsize, rightoffset=.5\bodyfontsize, topoffset=.5\bodyfontsize, bottomoffset=.5\bodyfontsize] \setuphead [subject] [after=, command=\MyHead] \def\MyHead#1#2% {\framed [background=color, backgroundcolor=gray, frame=off, offset=.5\bodyfontsize, corner=3]{#1#2}} \starttext \subject{Test} \starttest \input tufte \stoptest \stoptext There is a nasty little space between the two backgrounds. How can I avoid it? Further the left borders of the frame are not aligned. I appreciate your help. Andreas

Difference in doifinset in MkII and MkIV

Setting style and color attributes of label in metapost

I am writing a module which uses metapost in the background for drawing. I wanted to create an interface for setting the style and color of metapost labels but using \doset...attributes is not working. Here is an example: \definenamespace [test] [style=yes, name=test, command=yes, setup=yes] \definetest [blue] [color=blue, text=Blue] \definetest [two] [blue] [style=\bold, text=Two] \starttext \edef\currenttest{two} \startMPdrawing label.lft(\sometxt{\dosettestattributes{style}{color} \testparameter{text}}, (0,0)) ; \stopMPdrawing \edef\currenttest{blue} \startMPdrawing label.lft(\sometxt{\dosettestattributes{color}{style} \testparameter{text}}, (2cm,0)) ; \stopMPdrawing \MPdrawingdonetrue\getMPdrawing \stoptext Notice that the first label has the same style as the last label. This is happening because \doset..attributes is defined as an unexpandable macro. I can get around this by setting the value of \currenttest inside the \sometxt{...} argument. Something like: \def\dosometxt#1#2% {\normaldosometxt{#1}% {\def\noexpand\letterbackslash currenttest{\currenttest #2}}} Surely, there should be a more direct way of achieving this? Aditya

Hi, I there a command to "jump" to a specific pdf page? Like \goto,\at, \in, \about ... only, in this case a page number should be given! Any ideas? Thanks, Steffen

vertically aligned side margin footnotes

focus=standard not respected

In the following example the page focus jumps back to »fit« after clicking on the footnote number after »Foo«, although »focus=standard« is set. \setupinteraction [state=start, focus=standard] \starttext Foo \startfootnote Bar \stopfootnote \stoptext How to respect the users scaling factor? BTW: Is there a particular reason why »focus=fit« is the default? Why should the page scaling change because the user clicked on a hyperlink? Marco

Hello, I am trying to get references working with Context as well as it did with Biblatex. Since I didn't find anything helpful in the documentation and the mailing-list, I ask here. My setup at the moment is the following : \usemodule[bib] \usemodule[bibltx] \setupbibtex[database=test] \setuppublications[alternative=apa-fr] \setupcolors[state=start] \setupinteraction[state=start,color=darkgreen] - Can I get hyperlinks working with references in Context ? For example, with Biblatex with a citation and its reference, if I select the authoryear style, then I get : "my citation" (author year). And the reader can click on the year and be redirected to the reference in the bibliography. The year is a hyperlink. Can we get the same behaviour with Context ? - Also, I have tried to get the following pattern for my references : (author year, page number). It is the pattern of the Chicago manual of style (http://library.williams.edu/citing/styles/chicago2.php) To get this style, I have tried for example the following : \cite[extras={, p. 41}][guerrien2008theorie] But instead of the pattern (author year, page number), I get (author, year, page number). Can I remove the comma between author and year ? - Finally, is my setup wrong ? Indeed, with the setup I have copy-pasted above my bibliography remains empty. Sincerely, Alexandre Krispin

Finding Minion and Myriad

These two fonts are in /usr/share/fonts/OTF. In that directory they are listed in fonts.dir. I want to use simplefonts to use Minion as the base font. I ran the various commands described in the Wiki page: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Fonts_in_LuaTeX and got the two fonts listed in the font database. I put the following in my MKIV context file: ... \usemodule[simplefonts] % load the module \setmainfont[minionproregular] % %\whitespace[line] \usetypescript[serif,sans][hanging][pure] \setupalign[hanging] \setupbodyfont[minionproregular,14pt] ...
