I would like the footer of my document to read Page X of Y where X is the current page and Y is the total number of pages. Thoughts on how to accomplish this? Thanks, Troy

Colors: printing vs. on screen

Dear List, I defined the following color for one of my documents: \definecolor[P][r=0.64,g=0.22,b=0.27] When I printed this document on a probably typical office laser printer (a Canon iRCXXXX), the colors didn't match. (not even close and I didn't like the printed color) This is probably no real surprise, but can anybody provide some insight or hints to information on these matters to me: -- Are "spot colors" the thing to use to get a grip on these matters? -- Is this generally only a matter of "color spaces" and transformations between them? or ... -- Is this also dependent on specific printer models (eg. different office laser printers)? -- If yes, is there any source on information on the pecularities of these printers? kind regard and thanks Erik

More chemic module woes

Hey list, I am running ConTeXt version 2011.06.17 16:50 pulled from Adam's PPA. From the Chemistry wiki article here, http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Chemistry , I am attempted to compile the water reaction example here: \usemodule[chemic] \startformula \chemical{2H_2,+,O_2,->,2H_2O} \stopformula The image following it on the wiki looks as one would expect, but mine does not. I compiled the same code, but bracketed with \startstoptext and my generated PDF contains literally the following: 2H 2,+,O 2,–>,2H 2O Something's not right. Any ideas? Change the appearance of a list of bibliography (\placepublications)

Hello ConTeXtist. Is there any possibility to influence the appearance of a list of bibliography when I make it in MKIV minimals using the command \placepublications? I am thinking in particular spacing, stoppers etc. Specifically, I need to change the alignment of reference items and increase the gap between an item and the relevant literature item. At this moment, the result looks like this: ... [9] item 9 [10]item 10 [11]item 11 but I want it to look as follows: ... [9] item 9 [10] item 10 Can someone please advise? I'm new to ConTeXt, coming from LaTeX. Are there any linux text editors that are at all useful for creating context documents? In the archives of this list, I read one or two discussions about making Kile more compatible, but the issue seems to have been dropped.

ConTeXt Minimals: How to install fonts?

Dear ConTeXt folks, I want to use Neo Euler (euler-otf) and was wondering if there is an option for `first-setup.sh` to install fonts? What is the recommended way to install fonts? Using a GNU/Linux distribution should I use those tools to install fonts? I read [2], [3] and [4] but could not find a definite way besides copying the files to the corresponding directories. Dear all, My last question concerning feature files has been resolved, my feature files now work fine. But there is one problem that still remains. The standard ligatures in the font I use (Andron Mega Corpus) work fine when approached by name in the feature file (some of them are in the PUA here); However, other ligatures, notably Th, do not work in stable nor beta. When I run context mkiv and it calls on e.g. the Th ligature, i get "!LuaTeX error (file:(...)): Invalid glyph index (gid ...). I tested it on palatino linotype which does the same. Interestingly, the gid that luatex says is invalid is always the one after the last glyph in the font (For palatino linotype, 1328; for Andron Mega Corpus, 5486). In Andron Mega Corpus, I furthermore tested all the ligatures that had a unicode codepoint (PUA) and they all work when referenced by name. All those that do not, however, fail to work. What is going on here? Working on Mac OS X 10.6.7, btw. Some help is greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Stef Schoonderwoerd

Hi Hans, since it took me a while to figure this out: could you please change the occurrences of "conversion" in strc-not.mkiv to "numberconversion"? conversion doesn't do anything, and it was a bit frustrating to see the very examples from the source were not working. Thanks, and best Thomas
