Letter with letterhead

Hello, I must write a multi-page letter with only the first page as (pre-printed) letterhead. I adapted the Letterhead example from the wiki to fit the style of my institution. I would like to know how to revert the second and subsequent pages to use a default layout. If someone know how to use Wolfgang's letter module (in MKII) with letterhead on the first page only, that would be fine. Thanks, Roger

Numbering again..

Sorry...Again I am stumped. I have a counter that I'd like to reset \newcounter \nuggetnumber \def \numberofnuggets{0} \definehead [nugget] [section] \setuphead [nugget] [number=yes,page=yes, before=\increment \nuggetnumber, after=\savecurrentvalue \numberofnuggets{\countervalue{nuggetnumber}},] % LO as nugget This counts the number of nuggets.. and seems to work fine. But when it gets to an episode it should reset....so, maybe like this \definehead [episode] [title] \setuphead [episode] [numberstyle=bold, textstyle=cap, number=yes,before=\resetnumber[nuggetnumber]] % may be used But \resetnumber[nuggetnumber], where-ever I put it seems to have no impact. I think the Wiki suggests that it should, and the mailing list back catalogue and the manual shed no light on the matter.... while I am at it, I am equally unsure how to reset the numberofnuggets accumulator, which should also be done on meeting the episode structural element - I'd like to insert a whole chain of commands in the before=...' ConTeXt licensing

Hello all, A question came up recently on the tex.sx site about ConTeXt licensing: http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/12431/using-context-commercially I have a feeling I've seen something similar elsewhere recently, but cannot be sure where. This question seems to require an 'official' response, as things do seem a little confusing (at least to me). I'm happy to post something as a reply to the question if I know what the position is (or indeed if it is "read what we've put and go with it".) -- Joseph Wright

A question about data types?

Sorry. me again...and I have been all over the wiki, mailing lists and manuals... I have this: \setlayer [progresssteps] % name of the layer [hoffset=904 px, voffset= 28\nuggetnumber px] % placement (from upper left corner of the layer) {\stepstack} % the actual contents of the layer And I am hoping that as I increase nuggetnumber the voffset of the layer will be 28*nuggetnumber I am setting nuggetnumber like this for the moment: \def \nuggetnumber{3} (in the other dev document it is the result of counter, so set dynamically) and this in the text \nuggetnumber which compiles to '3', so I assume the assignment is good to go. varying both nuggetnumber and the scale factor (28) shift the layer up and down, but not in a way that suggests that 28\nuggetnumber is being evaluated as a product (so a scale factor of 7 and a nuggetnumber of 2 do not give the same output as a scale factor of 2 and a nuggetnumber of 7). So I am led to think that there is something in the evaluating that is going wrong - data types / units? (if I hard code in the results I am expecting, say 28 px, 56 px or 84 px then I get exactly what I want... Thanks, as ever (Same result in ConTEXt ii or iv) Ian

breaking up long input into metapost pages

I now have a long input file with many independent sections. For the moment it is processed as follows: \starttext \startTEXpage \startMPcode % variable declarations % macro definitions with drawing code input input_data; \stopMPcode \stopTEXpage \stoptext Now this becomes a bit too large for one page, I tried a Metapost run in luatex but after taking some 12 GB of memory it gave up. The idea is thus to have one contiguous input which at certain points produces a new startTEXpage. That will flush the internal memory I guess and makes long documents possible. I'd rather not split the input_data in seperate files: making a thousand of more files seems no nice prospect to me. Any ideas how to best structure things? I should mention that I have a lot of control over the writing of the input_data. Hans van der Meer

Short words in word list

Hi, \usemodule[s-lan-03] \setupspellchecking[state=start,method=2] \setupspellchecking[list=words] \ctxlua{languages.words.tracers.showwords()} prints a word list of words with 4+ letters. Is there a way to also include 1-, 2-, and 3-letter words? Thanks, Florian

The specification of the DVB-subtitles mentions two variants: (1) string of characters, (2) pixel colorvalues to be looked up in a 16-value CLUT. The stream I have at hand consists of pixel data in a 720x36 rectangle. Furthermore different broadcast stations use different lettertypes. Of course it would be nice if I could simply extract the letters, but for the moment this surpasses my abilities. Dear Lutz, After replacing "blblogo.pdf" with a figure file in my system and tested it. Otherwise, it shows a gray rectangle. I got no error and the output is fine.( "Test" and the figure are well shown) I don't know "rev 4090" but here is the version of ConTeXt minimal in my system. ... This is LuaTeX, Version beta-0.65.0-2010121316 \write18 enabled. (testmp.tex ConTeXt ver: 2011.02.25 22:03 MKIV fmt: 2011.3.1 int: english/english ... Since I don't know deep inside ConTeXt, I can't tell you a solution. Sorry. Setup in your system may be different from mine. Cheers. Dalyoung

\setuphead[ownnumber=yes]; disabling parental numbers

Hello, what exactly should the "ownnumber=yes|no" option do in \setuphead? The following code crashes Ctx: --- %\setuphead[subsection][number=no] % OK \setuphead[subsection][ownnumber=yes] % ERROR \starttext \chapter{Ch1} \section{Sec1} \subsection{SSec1} \stoptext --- Is it possible to disable parental numbers? - To get sequence like this: A. ChapterA B. ChapterB B.1 Section1 B.2 Section2 1 Subsection1 (no parental numbers here [= B.2], only those of subsection) 2 Subsection2 I tried: \setuphead[subsection,subsubject][number=no,ownnumber=yes] hoping this should do the job but it didn't; at least problem with "ownnumber=yes".
