math: `\overbar` with fractions and subscripts

Dear ConTeXt folks, I do have some problem with the following example (also attached, executed with `context test`). \starttext \startformula \overbar{q} = \frac{\overbar{q}}{\overbar{α_0}} \stopformula In text $\overbar{q} = \frac{\overbar{q}}{\overbar{α_0}}$. \startformula \overbar{q_0} = \frac{\overbar{q}}{\overbar α} \stopformula \stoptext I am using the latest ConTeXt Minimals distribution. $ context --version MTXrun | main context file: /opt/context/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/context.mkiv MTXrun | current version: 2011.02.04 10:01 1. The bar divides for subscripts/indices. 2. If you look at the first fraction, the bar is as long as the stroke from the fraction and therefore I think too long. 3. When inlining the fraction in text the bar fuses with the stroke from the fraction. Are these know problems or do I just use the wrong commands? Thanks, Paul

Bug in letter module.

Hi Wolfgang, hi everyone, Using the beta from saturday (but it bugged before too, don't know the date though), the letter module fails with "! You can't use `\dimexpr' in horizontal mode." when using the french letter style. Minimal example included and reproduced below. (At some point, it also complained that ExpandSecondAfter didn't exist in MkIV (which it doesn't indeed).) [start example] \usemodule[letter] \% \mainlanguage[fr] useletterstyle[french] \starttext \startletter \encl{Anything.} \stopletter \stoptext [stop example] Regards. -- Cédric

conversionsets fall back in bookmarks

Hi, own conversionsets can be defined eg. like this: \define[1]\TestConversion {(\characters{#1}\characters{#1})} \defineconversion [TestCon] [\TestConversion] As expected this gives "aa" and "bb" etc. Only when using PDF bookmarks these conversions fall back to numbers (see example below). A workaround could be to write these conversions explicitly: \defineconversion [TestCon][{aa},{bb},{cc},{dd},...] Here the "aa" etc conversion is preserved in bookmarks too. Only, it is not very elegant and for long documents with many sections it may lead to typos. Hence, my question: Is there a low-level trick to preserve conversionsets, defined like {(\characters{#1}\characters{#1})}, so they appear in bookmarks, too? Updated vim module

Hi all, I have released a new version of t-vim that relies on the t-filter module. The 2context.vim script that generates a ConTeXt file has changed. The generated file is now much cleaner (and read under a simplified catcodes). You should be able to update to a new version using ConTeXt minimals. This version supports - a syntax highlighting environment - an inline syntax highlighting macro - a macro to syntax highlight external files. See https://github.com/adityam/filter/blob/vim/doc/context/third/vim/vim.txt for brief documentation. The new syntax is not completely backwards compatible! Hopefully, this version will work correctly on all operating systems (No more quotes mess like the previous versions). Aditya

formatting title pages and table of contents

Dear ConTeXt folks, how do you set a title page? I took [1] as an example where `\title{}` is formatted using `\setuphead[title][…]`. But then if I want to use ` \completecontent` to insert the table of contents [2] – I need it with the title – then »Contents« is also formatted using the definition for ` \title{}`, i. e., in my case a second page is inserted. ;-) [1] does not have to deal with this problem using `\placecontent`. Could you advise me of a “best practice” method how to accomplish both in a reusable manner? chapter head and placelist

Dear all, The otherday, I asked about three line chapter head and got a solution. \chapter{\tfd Title \\ \tfc subtitle} Then, in the table of contents, it also listed as a big fonts. How to make the contents with a normal fonts? I tried \setuplist[style=normal, textstyle=normal], but no differences. Best regards, Dalyoung
