tex placeholder for use in metapost/metafun

Hi everybody, as I like to desing a CI for an publishing Cover for an Organisation, I have a question about usage: What I wanna do is, having placeholders in the metapost coverpage, it should work like \author{} \title{} \swlogo{} in the preamble and should be automatically placed in the metapost graphic at runtime.... what would be the best way to do that? I thought about \def\author{content} and then in metapost \btex\author\etex but not sure if it will work, or is there a more ConTeXtian way to do so... Perfecting my checkbox functionalities

I am learning to work with ConTeXt. In GetNiveauOfService 9 is used three times. I like DRY, so I was wondering if there would be a better way to do this? Next step would be that the number of checkboxes could be a parameter. The default would be nine and if given, the given value would be used. How would I do this? Then the 'normal' checkboxes. The default is one column. But I would like to have the possibility to use a parameter to for example make checkboxes in three columns. How would I do this? Lastly, in GetNiveauOfService there is text. How can I make this language dependent. For example in English I want: (1 = low, 9 = high) but in Dutch: (1 = weinig, 9 = veel) and properly it would be a good idea to have two optional parameters when you want other descriptions. Indent after \placefigure

Hello, if one uses the right-option in \placefigure the paragraph indent is omitted. Prevent Ligatures

Hi all, I've two questions. 1. Is f|*|f still the right way to prevent a ligature? 2. \setff{noligs} don't seem to have effect, while the defined font is working. Recursive printing letters using Letters module...

Hello, Can be deployed print letters due t-letter module in the cycle? When I use recursion, then an error occurs. I note that I am going to change the values (from CSV file) in a cycle (that someone thought that I want to write a few the same letters in cycle :-) here is my example: \usemodule[letter] \starttext \dorecurse{5}{ \startletter[ toname={Name}, toaddress={Address}, opening={Dear Name,}, subject={Step by step guide to write a letter}, closing={Greetings from the Author}] Thus, I came to the conclusion ... \stopletter \page } \stoptext Thanx, Jaroslav

Accessing fonts

Hi, I can only load some fonts (like Fontin) that are in ~/texmf or ~/.fonts if I load it using the file: directive. The name: directive does not seem to work, even if the font is in ~/texmf directory. As a result a lot of my old documents (which generally use typescripts or simplefonts module by Wolfgang) have stopped working. I can fix things on a case by case basis, but I wonder if others are also facing similar problems and there is bug lurking somewhere that is platform dependent. I am using 2010.09.05 on linux-64. Hi gurus, can anyone please suggest a way to arrange this pdf: http://www.fonurgia.unito.it/andrea/stuff/prog.pdf so that at the end I have two pages A4 landscape with pages 561 and 234? I'd like to print it on A4 double sided and fold it in 3 parts. Tried by myself but no way. luatex problem

Hi Hans Hi all, i use the latest context minimals under windows xp with the SciTE Editor. Since some weeks, automatic closing and opening of the PDF doesn't work anymore. My testfile pdfopen.lua has only one line: os.execute('pdfopen --file "calluna.pdf"') If I run this file with: mtxrun --script "pdfopen.lua" Adobe Reader 9 crashes completely and wants to send an error report to microsoft. If I run the same file with: lua pdfopen.lua the file opens immediately. For me it seems to be a problem in luatex. Greetings Lutz
