\MPpos, pxy, initialize_box(), oh my!

hello all, i finished a presentation (my first ConTeXt creation!), and now i've got a couple days to get creative again. i'm trying to understand how the typeset lines of text in the MetaPost manual were outlined in Section 5.1. i've just discovered that \MPpos only seems to work in MPpositiongraphics, and initialize_box sets `pxy' to \hpos's contents bounding box. what if you want pxy to be not strictly a rectangle, but the path that encloses text, etc., which is just part of flowing text in a paragraph, like page 247 (beginning of Positional Graphics chapter) in the MetaPost manual? i've read the MetaPost manual. i hope the answer isn't too obvious. thanks, adam

Today first-setup.sh ended with status-of-update.lus instead of expected status-of-update.lua Is it correct ? -- luigi

The following test: \starttext \dorecurse{1000}{\tooltip[middle]{test}{test}} \stoptext produces a pdf which opens up with the purple band at the top. There is a button (which doesn't look much like a button) on the left of this band that will hide it when pressed. Still I'd like to control it. I have a closely-related question. I'm preparing a document for screen reading, and I always have to push the Adobe Read button "click to show one page at a time" to make it behave nicely. I'm guessing that the command to keep the purple band from my screen is similar to the one that would push this button automatically and begin the document in the one-page-at-a-time mode. I'm using: \setupinteraction[state=start,color=,contrastcolor=,focus=???] and I've tried every value I can think of for ???, but maybe that's not the solution.

"Please fill out the following form"

I was creating a document with many hyperlinks and tooltips, and everything was working, until it reached a certain size. Two strange behaviors began: 1. At the top of Adobe Reader I get a purple band that says "Please fill out the following form..." 2. Tooltips no longer appear at the first rollover. Instead, a pale blue box with a checkmark pops up. On the second rollover, my tooltips appear as normal. Is this some limit inherent in Context, pdf, or Adobe Reader? Is there a way to work around it?

links generated by \in don't work

Hi! I try the following with current beta: \setupinteraction[state=start] \starttext \placeformula[eq:test] \startformula 1=1 \stopformula \pagebreak \in[eq:test] \stoptext When I click on the link, nothing happens. The links generated by LaTeX+hyperref work in the same viewer (okular, poppler based). Sometimes links work, but point me to the page instead of specific location (e.g. theorem, lemma, etc.).

OSFONTDIR

Dear Hans, Some time ago the following code was working. On Mac it seems to have no influence now (OSFONTDIR doesn't get "fixed"), but if I set it in environment to the same string, it works. local function check_configuration() -- not yet ok, no time for debugging now if os.env["OSFONTDIR"] then -- ok elseif os.type == "windows" then os.setenv("OSFONTDIR","c:/windows/fonts//") elseif os.type == "macosx" then os.setenv("OSFONTDIR","$HOME/Library/Fonts//;/Library/Fonts//;/System/Library/Fonts//") end end Can it be that setenv doesn't really set anything (it just sets it locally to some variable) and then resolvers only look for proper environmental or texmf.cnf variables? I have an impression that that function has been removed from LuaTeX a while ago, but I may be wrong. Mojca

\hyphenatedurl and the '%' character

Hello, I defined \def\url[#1]{\hyphenatedurl{#1}} for URLs, because I find \useURL[][] \from[] inconvenient (there are ~30 URLs in my document and all of them unique). But \hyphenatedurl doesn't work with '%' (and '\%' gets printed literally). I'll just use \useURL as a workaround, but shouldn't \hyphenatedurl work as well? -- -- Rogutės Sparnuotos
