I am using \filename to type-set filenames. Some of these are very long (greater than 30 characters) and overhang the right hand margin, sometimes even disappearing off the edge of the page. The first line break is just before the full stop. There are usually plenty of spaces in the names. Can I get ConTeXt to put a line-break into filenames? Thanks, Richard

The problem of updating context manually using cont-tmf.zip

Hello everyone. I'm using TeXLive2008, and I have just updated my ConTeXt for Chinese supporting using the file downloaded from http://mirror.contextgarden.net/context/current/cont-tmf.zip. I just unzipped it into texmf-local and execute the command: texmfstart texexec --make --all I think everything is OK, but the problem comes. The version of ConTeXt is still 2008.05.21 15:21: context --version MtxRun | main context file: /usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-dist/tex/context/base/context.tex MtxRun | current version : 2008.05.21 15:21 I don't know the exactly meaning of "main context file". I think it should be the file I just unzipped into /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local. The version of ConTeXt should be 2008.08.05. Anyone can help me updating the ConTeXt? -- Hello world! Keeping section head with index

I want to put an index in its own section using \section{Index} \placeindex I cannot use \completeindex because that starts a new chapter, not section. Unfortunately, the header often gets separated from the index, being left as the last line on the page. I searched the mail archive and found a suggestion to use: \setuphead[section][before={\testpage[4]}] but this affects the vertical spacing of all section heads. Can anyone either: 1) suggest an alternative way of keeping the section head with the index, or 2) show me how to maintain the vertical spacing of headers when using the above construct. Luatex fails to load a font

Hi! I added a font called TypoOrnaments.ttf to my context-tree. Calling "mtxrun --script fonts --list" gives the result typoornaments TypoOrnaments TypoOrnaments.ttf typoornamentsmedium TypoOrnaments TypoOrnaments.ttf Now I want to use it in my document with \definefontsynonym [typoOrn] [file:TypoOrnaments.ttf] [features=default] \definefont [typoO] [typoOrn sa *] -> {\typoO test} But luatex complains that it cannot find the font. define font | forced type ttf of TypoOrnaments not found define font | font with name TypoOrnaments is not found define font | unknown font TypoOrnaments, loading aborted Same thing with "name:...". My code works when I change the definition for example to texgyrebonum-regular.otf. Any ideas why the other font isn't working? Thanks in advance, Eyke

Interesting Bug with LuaTex, \setfontfeature{oldstyle}, colors and tikz

Hi! I wanted to use colors in my tikz-graphics. The following example gives a nice red line with "texexec": >>> \enableregime[utf-8] \mainlanguage [de] \setupcolors[state=start] \usemodule[tikz] \definecolor[zeug][r=1, g=0, b=0] \starttext \starttikzpicture \draw [zeug, line width=1ex, cap=round] (-7.65cm,-1mm) -- (7.65cm,-1mm); \stoptikzpicture \stoptext >>> When I compile my document with "texexec --lua" I get a black line. Adding "\setfontfeature{oldstyle}" to the preamble causes "texexec --lua" to break with a failure. >>> Package pgfbase: Error! Unsupported color model `'. Breaking/Hyphenating

1. What must I do to the 3rd paragraph on the first page to get it to space properly? It's far too close to the previous one. 1st page, 3rd paragraph; http://filebin.ca/dnoqva/test.pdf or http://filebin.ca/dnoqva. I should point out that this happens often, and I don't mind if TeX creates a page with 1-2 lines as long as nothing protudes into the margin. thanks Mohamed

overprint and currentcolorname in mkiv

Hi, is overprinting working in mkiv? \ctxlua{overprints.enabled=true} has no effect here or on ConTeXt live. Maybe I'm missing something. Currently I try to adapt some mkii code to mkiv. Overprinting should only be enabled if - a given maximum font size is not exceeded and - the current text color is black. So I also need \currentcolorname (or something similar) for that test. [colo-new.mkiv:] \def\currentcolorname{\s!black} % todo This is all unhasty, but if there is a solution, let me know. Best wishes, Peter
