Indexing problem---not

I think the curious string of numbers mentioned earlier are actually related to footnotes. The author for whatever reason prefers endnotes instead of true footnotes, and specified them in a block after all the chapters. So I defined footnotes thus: \setupfootnotes[location=none] so that I could generate the endnote numbers thus \footnote{} at the correct places in the text. Apparently Context stores these blank footnotes up and puts them at the end, even though [location=none] is specified. {location=high] doesn't seem to help either. So I will force them onto a blank page and strip off that page. This problem arose when I added an index to the end so I fell into the post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy. Sorry about that. The problem with page ranges in an index remains however. So I have come up with a kludge so that I can use my old reliable makeindex: \newwrite\ind \immediate\openout\ind=book.idx \input idx.tex \def\sidx#1{\write\ind{\\indexentry{#1}{\the\pageno}}} No one seems to be able to make eplain.tex work with Context so this is the best I can do in a hurry. Hi all, I've just hit some rather interesting interaction. I wanted my sections numbered A. Title, B. Title etc. This works, unless I choose language [deo]. Here's a short test document that demonstrates the behavior: \mainlanguage[de] \setupsection[section][conversion=A] \setuplabeltext[section={{},{.~}}] \starttext \section{Number One} dummy \section{Number Two} dummy \section{Number Three} dummy \stoptext If you replace language[deo] with language[de], things work as expected. Any explanation for this behavior? Best Thomas

I was wondering if you could give me some direction. I'm having this error message in doing metapost. ! Unable to make mpx file. l.78 label.bot(btex $\hbox{\sf Rectangle}$ etex, (0,-.6u)); I looked through internet and found this site, http://www.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2002/000272.html which describes exactly the same error messages. Is there any solution for this? I didn't have any problem with exactly the same file before installed TexLive 2007. hi, i'm tired of fixing \dogetfigurefilename in every new version. i have already shown that there is something wrong with it in my mail from 17.01.2007 http://archive.contextgarden.net/message/20070117.153030.344c6989.en.html i don't say, that i understand the complex code for figure inclusion, but it is obvious that the following code is at least questionable. XML compilation trouble

All, I have: \startMatlab function output=primary(input) statements---including subfunction calls % first subfunction function out=one(in) statements % second subfunction function out=two(in) statments \stopMatlab Where: \definetyping[Matlab] \setuptyping [Matlab] [before={\startframedtext[width=\textwidth, background=screen, backgroundscreen=0.9]}, after={\stopframedtext}, indentnext=no, color=darkred] I'd like to override the monotype and make one line emphasized, as in: \startMatlab function output=primary(input) {\em statements---including subfunction calls} % first subfunction function out=one(in) statements % second subfunction function out=two(in) statments \stopMatlab Which of course doesn't work but it does give an idea of what I want to try. Any ideas?
