grid versus whitespace

Hi, please have a look at following example: \starttext \setupwhitespace[5pt] \setuplayout[grid=no] \showstruts \showgrid \showgridboxes \setuphead[section][grid=fit] \section{Heading One} \input tufte \input knuth \stoptext For the section is too high, I set grid=yes which gives the desired section distance. But now the whitespace 5pt between the regular paragraphs gets lost! Is there a way to have both: section grid snapping *and* regular whitespace? Steffen

Latest ConTeXt and lmmi7

The latest ConTeXt (ver: 2007.01.18 12:57 MKII fmt: 2007.1.18 int: english/english) will not process my files. The log file has: ... (/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/tex/context/base/type-akb.tex)) kpathsea: Running mktextfm lmmi7 /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf/web2c/mktexnam: Could not map typeface abbreviation mm for lmmi7. /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf/web2c/mktexnam: Need to update /usr/ local/teTeX/share/texmf.tetex/fonts/map/fontname/special.map? mktextfm: Running mf-nowin -progname=mf \mode:=ljfour; mag:=1; nonstopmode; input lmmi7 This is METAFONT, Version 2.71828 (Web2C 7.5.5) kpathsea: Running mktexmf lmmi7 ! I can't find file `lmmi7'. <*> ...e:=ljfour; mag:=1; nonstopmode; input lmmi7 ... grep: lmmi7.log: No such file or directory mktextfm: `mf-nowin -progname=mf \mode:=ljfour; mag:=1; nonstopmode; input lmmi7' failed to make lmmi7.tfm. GFS Fonts, especially GFS Bodoni, Didot and Porson

Hi, a few days ago Alan Bowen wrote about his problem using GFS Bodoni. I'm looking for GFS fonts. The link http://www.greekfontsociety.org/pages/en_typefaces.html seems to be dead. So can anybody provide me with these fonts or send me a working link? It would help a lot if he could add all the needed afm, vf, map etc. files to use them with context. Thanks in advance Chris

Working with environments and projects

Hi all! I'm trying to work with environements, projects, products and components. I have the following setup, involving juste one component at the moment: The component file is named acoustique.tex: \startcomponent acoustique \product prd_articlesdemo \project project_dhfq2 [some text] \stopcomponent Then, in the same folder, there's the product file: \startproduct prd_articlesdemo \project project_dhfq2 \component acoustique \stopproduct Then, in the same folder, there's the project file: \startproject project_dhfq2 \environment env_dhfq2 \product prd_articlesdemo \stopproject Then, in a folder above my working folder, there's the environment file: \startenvironment env_dhfq2 [too much stuff to paste here] \stopenvironment Now when I compile either the component or the product, I get: TeXExec | no ctx file found TeXExec | nothing to process What I am doing wrong? Is it right not to use \starttext ... \stoptext here? Thanks! JFS

bug in figure database

Hi Hans, I'm currently building up a new tree, based on your minimal system. Everything works fine, except figure inclusion from data bases. I finally traced it down to the following typo(s) (x-fig-00.tex | x-fig-04.tex) : \def\dogetfigurefilename#1% {\ifx\figurefilename\empty \bgroup \xdef\figurefilebasepath{#1}% \assignfullfilename{#1}\figurefilebase\to\filename \expanded{\processXMLfilegrouped{\filename.xml}}% \ifx\figurefilename\empty\else \globallet\figurefilebase\figurefilebase ^^^^ should be \filename, else the path to the database pdf is missing \fi \egroup \fi} Greetings, Peter

You can try you luck with \placepublications[criterium=local], see if that does something, but the behaviour is actually "as expected", yes. It is unlikely that I will ever truly fix this, because it wouls require a rather large rewrite. Hi Taco and everyone else, working with \placepublications[criterium=cite] inside sections, I noticed that the behavior is not the same when using a section with ownnumber=yes. The local list of publications does not appear in the latter case. I've made a sample test.tex and test.bib file to demonstrate this. It seems like this is the same behaviour as trying to use \placepublications[criterium=cite] inside a \subject, i.e. nothing appears. Is this behavior as expected? texexec --mode=xxx --mode=yyy

Hello, is it possible to make "texexec --mode=xxx --mode=yyy" behave the same as "texexec --mode=xxx,yyy" ? I need it, because I have a server that automatically generates pdf-files via "texexec --mode=xxx ..." and the rest of the command-line can be anything found in the tex-fileheader (for example another --mode=yyy).
