Hallo! After reading some manuals, I have some questions. May be I have not understand it right. Try the following example: --------------------------- \setupcolors[state=start] \starttext How can I use the brace-key right? \starttable[| \{ |] \NC no braces \SR \stoptable What I am doing wrong here? \starttable[ o1 | C{red} |] \VL red \VL\SR \stoptable red too! Hallo! While I was reading 'In the Details' to learn more about grid- typesetting, I could not comprehend the examples with grid={broad,...}. Then in section 1.8 I read that grid=line should be a shortcut for grid={broad,high,depth}. But these two variants gave me not the same result! Try \setuplayout[grid=yes] \definehead[Demo][section] \setuphead[Demo][style=\bfb, before=\blank, after=\blank, grid={broad,high,depth}] %\setuphead[Demo][style=\bfb,before=\blank,after=\blank,grid=line] \showgrid \starttext \Demo{Agathe} Bla blubber \stoptext Hmm! \namedglyph (was: [XeTeX] \XeTeXglyphindex: just a short note)

Hello, Some time ago Jonathan implemented a new \XeTeXglyphindex command to retrieve the glyph from current font by name (it currently only works for OpenType, but that's the most important). \getglyph is already taken, I used it in the example below just because I didn't think of a better name. Would it name sense to provide a \namedglyph macro in ConTeXt for XeTeX users as well? (Hopefully the feature will be available in pdfTeX as well ;) I don't mind if LaTeX & ConTeXt use the same syntax every now and then ;) (In the future: It might make sense to provide an optional field to retrieve a glyph from any font, not just from the current one, but I'm not sure about what the exact interface should be and if it would be optional it can be added later anyway.) Any thoughts? IŽm using context on slackware 10.2, I donŽt have a command "context". IŽm using "texexec". ItŽs the same? Now, texexec ignores some comands: \setuppapersize[a5][a4] \setuplayout[location=middle, marking=on] \setuppagenumbering[alternative=doublesided] Are they incomplete? some aditional command is needed? Font Question: Specific font sizes not working.

Greetings all, In the last week or so I started having a problem with fonts: what once worked stopped doing so, giving me the default font rather than my chosen fonts. I finally figured out that it is only certain sizes that are not working. For example, with: \usetypescriptfile[jensonpro] \usetypescript[jenson] \switchtobodyfont[jenson,11pt] \starttext Testing. \stoptext "\switchtododyfont" sizes 8pt, 10pt, 11pt, 13pt all still work, while 9pt and 12pt no longer do so... I recently updated ConTeXt and it remains the same. No change was made to my typescript files, and indeed in \definebodyfont those sizes are definitely listed: \starttypescript [serif] [Opticals] [size] \definebodyfont [13pt,12pt,11pt,10pt,9pt,8pt][rm] ... \stoptypescript Any clues? Hello. IŽm new in this list and using Context. I make books for a small edit shop in Buenos Aires, Argentina specialized in Antropology. I used to work with Ventura publisher in windows, then I decided to use linux/latex, and after a few books using latex, iŽm trying to use Context because I think itŽs better. Anyway, itŽs dificult for me. Now, I need help in this: In latex, I use this command: \renewcommand{\contentsname}{Índice} .... \renewcommand{\chapter}{Capitulo} to obtain the names of the parts of the book in spanish. I only need in spanish Bobliography and Índice (Content). How can I obtain the same in Context? starttextrule different from manual

The manual says (p.204): \starttextrule[.1.]{.2.}...\stoptextrule .1. top bottom .2. text But parameter [.1.] is not picked up and the code in core-rul.tex is: \def\starttextrule#1% instead of the expected \def\starttexrule{\dosingleargument \dostarttextrule} etc. Is this a deliberate change from the manual, so that I can cross out the parameter [.1.] there, or something else?
