Hi, Are the SciTE configuration files on Windows only supposed to work with MikTeX or do they work with other implementations as well? Do I have to copy all language .properties files even though I am going to use only English? Do I have to modify any .properties files, if I want to load only cont-en-scite.properties? page float in columnset

Hi wizards, let me go back to columnsets. I try to place a float spanning the whole page area. When doing that the running text placing exactly one page is completely and forever lost! Please see example: ----------------------------------------- \setuplayout[grid=yes] \showgrid \starttext \startcolumnset \dorecurse{4}{#1 --- \input knuth \blank\endgraf} \placefigure[here]{none}{% \framed [width=\makeupwidth,height=\textheight,offset=overlay] {Page float.}} \dorecurse{10}{#1 --- \input knuth \blank\endgraf} \stopcolumnset \stoptext ------------------------------------------- Switching here -> page, tops, ... does not solve the problem. The similar behaviour is observed when a float has one column width and fit the whole column height. Is there some solution or another way how to do that and preserve the text? Thanks Vit

Short greek quote in otherwise english text

Hello, I'd like to include a short quote in classical greek with all diacritics in a ConTeXt document which is otherwise plain english. What is a good way of doing this? Do I need to change the encoding? Thanks, Matthias

How can I reset the height of a row in \bTABLE..\eTABLE?

Hello All, The example below shows two tables. The first table has the height of its 1st row explicitly set, which then carries over to the second table causing the content to overflow the boundaries of the table. My question: Is there a way to either a) reset the row height for the second table using something like \setupTABLE[r][1][height=auto] or b) set the minimum height of a row e.g. \setupTABLE[r][1][minheight=3ex] so that the height is able to expand if necessary? I found a macro named \resetallTABLEparameters but it doesn't seem to have the desired effect. hyphenation exceptions

Hello, I don't want to tell TeX about hyphenation exceptions in the text, only once for all in an environment file. How can I do this with words like "DNA-Fragmente" or "$\beta$-Verknüpfung" ? \hyphenation{...} does not seem to work here, and I don't want to write DNA-Frag\-men\-te nor $\beta$-Ver\-knüp\-fung in the text. Dear list, I've finished my first complete score created with lily + context. It will be (should be) performed by the percussionist of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Rai (the National Television Orchestra) on february . (Apart from the music....) Wow, everybody seeing it and used to Finale, Sibelius, etc, is deeply impressed. Me too, I have happily to say. Still problem with \eqalign

Using the iinstaller CoNtExt version of today which contains the newest (?) core-mat.tex with the fixed \eqalign, I still run into a problem with a standard \eqalign like \starttext \placeformula[-] \startformula \eqalign{ c:[0,2\pi] &\to R^2 \cr t &\mapsto (a\cos(t), b\sin(t)) } \stopformula \stoptext ---> ! Illegal unit of measure (pt inserted). <to be read again> { \eqalign ...ildeqalign \null \,\vcenter {\openup { .25\bodyfontsize } \mathsur... l.124 } ? Matthias, desolate :)

\startalign problem

Hello, using the latest 2006/1/29 version of i-Installer's ConTeXt package, I get an error message reading ! Missing \endgroup inserted. <inserted text> \endgroup <to be read again> \halign \aligneqalignno ->\prepareeqalignno \halign \ifcase \eqalignmode \or to \dis... <to be read again> x for the very simple input file \starttext \startformula \startalign x \stopalign \stopformula \stoptext. Examples included in core-mat also won't compile. The last i-Installer distribution (don't remember the release date) didn't show this behaviour. Best regards, Sebastian Sturm

Hi to all, I started taking a look to fonts. Actually installation is out of my possibilities but I won't give up so easily... In any case, I was trying to understand which fonts are actually available on my context installation. How do I make \showbodyfont display all available families? Directly: are there other ways to explore available fonts?
