Dear all, I am quite new to context (but love it) and i am trying tind a way to typeset texts "properly kerned" in such a way that the characters be all rotated with tiny randomized angle (strange project indeed). I tried to do it by writing a macro inspired by \followtokens. I have two questions : 1. It works but just for text within a single line : I have no clue how to manage the line breaking, and I have to admit that I don't know eanough TeX ConTeXt to find out. 2. In playing with the macro followtoken I happened to write two files with no apparent significant difference (I mean for me) but which give quite different results : one properly kerned, and another that is not. Could someone explain me what's happening here ? (files attached) Thanks a lot, Alexandre Billon

Hello list, I'm trying to write down some Russian-French vocabulary without any success. I've read the page about Russian in the wiki (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Russian) The examples are not working for me and that's certainly a font problem (acroread say that to me). How to know if the cm-super fonts are installed on my computer? I'm using a tetex distribution (2.0.2). For information, I'm able to output cyrillic with latex. Thanks a lot for your help. -AJ

I want to use a bibtex database but get from \cite[key] only some reference like "(Xxxxxxxxxxx, 0000)". I gues I am doing something wrong. My setup comes from the instructions in the document bibmod-doc and there are both a syllabus.bib and a syllabus.bbl file present (and syllabus.aux is made by tex'ing): \usemodule[bib] \setupbibtex[database=syllabus] \setuppublications[numbering=yes] What details am I missing? yours sincerely, dr. stretched title text

Hi, Something has changed in the past couple months that causes my stretched title code to fail with the message: ! You can't use `\end' in internal vertical mode. <recently read> \normalend I've attatched a small example. Has anyone a suggestion how I can adapt my code accordingly? Cheers, Michael

Hi all, There have been many requests in the last few months regarding the RawSteps module, but I had not much time to spend on it before the holidays. Spacing problem (mixing Chinese with Latin characters)

Hello, if I type "[<chinese>]" the output is "[<chinese><space>]". (Example attached.) I addition I observed that "<chinese>;" will have a line break like "<chinese><new line>;" which looks quite ugly. (The ";" and "[]" are half-width Characters, i.e. the normal Latin characters and not those which are as wide as a Chinese character. Question: In the transliterization of Chinese the characters \definecharacter acaron {\buildtextaccent\textcaron a} % U+01CE \definecharacter icaron {\buildtextaccent\textcaron \dotlessi} % Unicode U+01D0 \definecharacter ocaron {\buildtextaccent\textcaron o} % U+01D2 \definecharacter ucaron {\buildtextaccent\textcaron u} % U+01D4 appear which are in the unicode block "Latin Extended B". Should/Could they be added? http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0180.pdf Tobias

Hello ConTeXters, I've noticed the following strange behavior of the index: If an indexterm occurs twice (or more times) on the same page in different section levels, it will be also linked twice from the index. Try the following minimal example: --- \setupoutput[pdftex] \starttext \chapter{First Chapter} Some text...\index{word} \section {First Section} Some text...\index{word} Some text...\index{another word} Some text...\index{another word} \page[yes] \completeindex \stoptext --- In the Index, you will get: a another word 1 w word 1,1 Does anybody guess?
