startappendices creates an extra empty page

Hi, When is use \startappendices \stopappendices to create appendices, I get an extra empty page. Is there a way to solve this? If I put another chapter after the \stopappendices statement, then there is no empty page. See the following test: \setupoutput[pdftex] \starttext \chapter[]{Chapter} This a chapter \section[]{Section} This a section \startappendices \chapter[]{Appendix} This the appendix \stopappendices % \chapter[]{extra} % This extra \stoptext Any suggestions? Hi, I want to see active URL in my pdf document in similar way that is used by <a....>....</a> tag in html So I have written \setupinteraction[state=start] then \useexternaldocument [doc:Molik] [http://zskl.zsk.p.lodz.pl/~morawski/local/Praca dyplomowa p. Molika.pdf] [Metody routingu unikastowego] then I try to use \from, \goto; \url and even if I see the link, it is not active then I try: \useURL [Molik] [http://zskl.zsk.p.lodz.pl/~morawski/local/Praca dyplomowa p. Molika.pdf] and \from, \goto; \url result is less or more the same. Where is the problem? What I have missed in documentation? Michal Morawski

Wrong bookmarking, please help

Dear all, Below I have included a document source which causes a lot of trouble. It includes a split table, which seems to corrupt the bookmarking. If you click on the links in the bookmark tab in acrobat reader, it takes you to the wrong pages. I noticed the ext4 warning produced by pdftex (see log excerpt below), but I have no idea how to fix this. In addition, I would like to make the table float. Could somebody tell me how to set this up with \splitfloat? I tried nearly every setup I could think of, but without any succes so far. Any hint would be greatly appreciated. something new, user-interfacing to context

Hi, I uploaded a first version of the lightweight eXaMpLe framework. Think of a user interface to: - interactive page imposition (more extensive than texexec, including test bed; more documentation will follow) - an interface to pstopdf, a script on top of ghostscript, which provides a couple of goodies. Processes like these are driven bij xml-data streams and handled by a service on localhost (more extensive distributed processing is under construction). The example things are distributed in a separate zip: http://www.pragma-ade.com/context/beta/cont-tmf.zip http://www.pragma-ade.com/context/beta/cont-exa.zip you can unzip both in your local tree and generate formats as usual. If you launch .../context/examplap/gui/examplap.pdf and browse a bit around, you'll get an idea what is happening. In order for it to really work, a couple of things are needed: (1) you need to install ruby and have ruby in your bin path (2) you need to launch exampler.rb --continue more can be found in http://www.pragma-ade.com/general/manuals/ex-gui.pdf There will be a lot more, for instance interfaces to the figure library, correspondence, etc. The low level things are under construction, so don't start building on it yourself before eximple.pdf and example.pdf go public (manuals). I tested in with fptex/windows; later i will make it miktex ready (waiting for input from mr bigfoot); linux works here, but probably also needs some work. a recent change in double-sided pagination?

It seems that the behaviour of \setuppagenumbering[alternative=doublesided] has changed in the last couple of months. Jobs that once correctly produced an even count of pages now produce an odd count. In viewing a two-page spread in Acrobat, the first page is correctly a right-hand page, but the last page is a bogus one, also a right-hand page. The document should end on the left. Midaligned text above columns

Hi Hans, I tried to use columns. I wanted to have a headerline midaligned above the columns. Whatever I try the headerline is only partially centered.... If I compile the test file without using columns, then the headerline is nicely centered above the text. Do I make a mistake? Best regards Willi

typescripts, bodyfonts, hanging puncuation

I need a clue, please. I don't understand the relation between typescripts for font definitions and bodyfonts or bodyfontenvironments. I began with typescripts when I started using Context and never learned much about the underlying mechanism. I've studied "Fonts in Context" (mfonts.pdf), but I still don't get it. I define typescripts for my fonts. They have no size specification. I understand that when I declare something like: \definetypeface [Sabon] [rm] [serif] [sabon] [default] [encoding=texnansi] that typescript "[serif] [default] [size]" in type-siz.tex will be used for the size info, but I don't know what that gets me. That typescript has: \definebodyfont [4pt,5pt,6pt,7pt,8pt,9pt,10pt,11pt,12pt,14.4pt,17.3pt] [rm] [default] I don't know what that list of sizes means. I can use \setupbodyfont and \switchtobodyfont to specify any arbitary full or fractional point size and all works well. But: now and then I hit a problem which is caused by missing definitions of some sort. For example, the hanging punctuation in this job: \usetypescriptfile[type-sabon] \usetypescript [serif] [hanging] [sabon] \usetypescript[Sabon] \setupbodyfont[Sabon,9pt] \setupalign[hanging] \showframe \starttext \dorecurse{5}{\input knuth \input tufte } \par \stoptext Note that I have the typescript "[serif] [hanging] [sabon]" and it declares the hanging parameters. With 9pt: no hanging. But it does work if I specify 12pt, 10pt, 8pt, or even 9.1pt. What is special about 9pt? How do I get boldface greek symbols in math mode (and especially with lucida bright)?
