I'm doing a little more work on XeTeX/ConTeXt, and noticed these lines
introduced in the alpha version, which don't properly guard against
\undefineds...
\ifnum\etexversion<202
\prependtoks
\writestatus\m!systems{eTeX version \number\etexversion\space -> too
old (bugs)
}%
\writeline
\to \everyjob
\fi
\ifnum\number\pdftexversion<120
\prependtoks
\writestatus\m!systems{pdfTeX version \number\pdftexversion\space ->
please upd
ate}%
\writeline
\to \everyjob
\fi
XeTeX doesn't like \pdftexversion, and it took me a while to realise it
wasn't my fault!
