\startsection ...\stopsection alias for \section?

Hi, would it make sense to have, in addtion to e.g. \section a start..stop pair? such as \startsection{my section name} \stopsection with something like \let\startsection\section \let\stopsection\relax This way the text would be slightly more structured. The requested layout is not all that bizarre, Wolfgang's code fairly small, and it could be a switchable thing, no need for it to be always on (i cannot say if it will/will not interfere with the normal page formatting) but it would be a shame to ignore this. The blocking package is texlive-base-bin: # apt-get install texlive-base-bin texlive-base-bin: Depends: libpng12-0 (>= 1.2.13-4) but 1.2.8rel-5.1ubuntu0.1 is to be installed Depends: libpoppler0c2 (>= 0.4.2) but it is not installable E: Broken packages I'll upgrade to the Ubuntu 7.04 beta, which will solve the libpng12-0 problem because Ubuntu 7.04 uses libpng 1.2.15. But libpoppler0c2 would still be missing. Here are the libpoppler pkgs in versions of Ubuntu: 5.04 (hoary) | libpoppler0-0.1.2 5.10 (breezy) | libpoppler0c2-0.4.2 6.04 (dapper) | libpoppler1-0.5.1 6.10 (edgy) | libpoppler1-0.5.4 7.04 (feisty) | libpoppler1-0.5.4 So, could you add libpoppler1 as an alternative libpoppler dependency? That should fix the installation. libpoppler1 is also in Debian (in experimental) so it should be a useful Debian change eventually. Then I can update to texlive 2007 and to the latest ConTeXt via apt-get. If that works, I'll update the ConTeXt wiki's installation instructions to say that Ubuntu users will have to upgrade to 7.04 to use your latest packages. TeX on contextgarden disabled - \installprogram security

Hi, I've just found out about \installprogram, that lets you run any command from TeX, bypassing the shellescape, openout and openin setting. This means that I have a serious security problem on contextgarden and therefore I have disabled all TeX typesetting. Any advise on how to disable this? core-reg.tex possible patch needed

Something I ran into in Epen which Taco helped me to fix. In cont-tmf.zip dated 22 March 07: core-reg.tex line 160 \iffourarguments throws up an undefined keyword error. I replaced with \iffourthargument and this error went away, but that may not have been the intended meaning. My register seemed to work okay after this fix, but in any case I am unsure what the new third argument to \dostartregister, "type", is to be used for here, so I can't test it. Duncan

Hi Hans and Taco, amsmath.sty defines \lvert and \rvert which provide correct spacing when \vert is used as a left or a right delimiter (code at the end of email). I do not completely understand what amsmath is trying to do. Wouldn't \definemathsymbol [lvert] [open] [sy] ["6A] [ex] ["0C] \definemathsymbol [rvert] [close] [sy] ["6A] [ex] ["0C] this achieve the same goal? New Google Coustom Search

Hello, A tiny addition on the garden: I have changed the google search window on the wiki a bit, so that it now uses "Google Custom Search". Feedback/suggestions wellcome (I need to refine the ntg/tug/ctan searches a bit). minor problem with utf-8 inside \startintertext

Hello, I have something for (most probably) Hans/Taco/Aditya to resolve: \enableregime[utf-8] \starttext \startformula\startalign \NC a \NC = b \NR \startintertext Še četrta možnost % For those with problems with encoding, \ccaron should be enough to reproduce the bug. \stopintertext \NC c \NC = d \NR \stopalign\stopformula \stoptext I remember seing similar problems inside \cases some time ago.
