Hi all, I have just uploaded the archives for luatex 0.25.1, just a small intermediate release because I won't be around next week. * Updated to MPlib 0.30 (that is now becoming usable) * The build requirement for a pre-installed ctangle is gone (thanks to Martin) The archives (source and binaries) can be downloaded from supelec, as usual: http://foundry.supelec.fr/projects/luatex/ Bugs and feature requests can be added to the issue tracker at http://tracker.luatex.org Have fun, Taco

bug in texexec --mptex

Hi Hans, There is a small bug in texexec --mptex: it deletes lines starting with a # character because it believes those are comments. Not true. Example: beginfig(1); numeric #; # = 10; % remove leading space to get error label(btex $x_1$ etex, (#,#)); endfig; end (I found this because it happens in the MP manual macros) Best wishes, Taco

New imposition styles

Hi, I wrote two new imposition formats with chngeable size. The first format could be used to create flashcards with content on both sides of the paper. Hi all, I have just uploaded the archives for luatex 0.25.0 New: * mplib library: This version features an embedded MP interpreter whose output can be directly accessed from lua code (mplib), without calls to an external "mpost" command. Of course it has bugs and limitations (makempx does not work, for example) but keep in mind that it is only an initial attempt. See the manual for more details. * img library: ** img.immediatewrite() is added ** images now accept a 'transform' key ** widths etc. can now be given as width="100mm" Fixed: * \parshape handling was completely broken since 0.20.0+ * when \pdfprotrudechars was in effect, an assertion failure could happen when embedded \hboxes in the paragraph appeared at the end of a line. * import of otf fonts with contextual lookups has been debugged, thanks to a patch by GW himself. * compiling with gcc 4.2.3 is now supported * if you want to build from source, you need a pre-installed ctangle. mkiv and metapost

Hi, Something is broken in the interaction between metapost and mkiv. The minimal example here gives me an empty pdf. \starttext \startMPcode draw fullcircle scaled 1cm; \stopMPcode \stoptext The metapost figure is created, but for some reason not is not being included. Doing an explicit \externalgraphics[filename-mpgraph.1] gives mp-test-mpgraph.1 !luaTeX error: internal error: unknown image type ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced! I am using luatex snapshot-0.23.0-2008031110 and ConTeXt 2008.03.04 Aditya

Assertion failure with latest luatex

Hi, I am using LuaTeX, Version snapshot-0.23.0-2008030822 and context 2008.03.04. In a long article, I get an error: luatex: ../../../../src/texk/web2c/luatexdir/tex/linebreak.c:215: find_protchar_right: Assertion `varmem[(varmem[((r)+1)].hh.v.RH)].hh.v.RH==r' failed. Is this a known bug? If not, I can try to create a minimal example. Aditya

Hi Hans, I had a problem to compile an old 'followtokens' code (MKII). It seems to me there is a bug in the current supp-mps.tex. Please, can you correct it? Dear friends, The BachoTeX 2008 Program Committee dares to remind you of the quickly upcoming deadline for submitting paper proposals for the BachoTeX 2008 conference.
