Hi, I guess I'll start bugging you about cont-en.xml more often now. installlanguage has a type attribute in cd:constant <cd:keywords> <cd:constant type="cd:name"/> </cd:keywords> in resettextcontent there is a name attribute: <cd:keywords optional="yes"> <cd:constant name="lefttext"/> <cd:constant name="middletext"/> <cd:constant name="righttext"/> </cd:keywords> What is the difference? It could make sense to have * "type" for a class like attribute, eg. a name, that is a string of characters that may not contain spaces, funny accents etc * "name" for a keyword. Hello Hans & Taco, one more little problem. If I "install" ConTeXt to "c:\a b\" then format generation fails for luatex (but works ok for xetex). context stubs

Hello Norbert, that's not too important (you may ignore it if you want), but there's one more thing that came to my mind concerning the packaging of ConTeXt. There is a rather recent context "stub". See http://minimals.contextgarden.net/current/context/current/scripts/context/s… (and other files in the same folder). The content is a bit buggy. It says #!/bin/sh mtxrun --script context $@ but should be #!/bin/sh mtxrun --script context "$@" context filename.tex is supposed to do almost the same as texexec, except that it calls luatex by default instead of pdftex. The contents of scripts/context/stubs/unix, as well as mtxrun and luatools, are supposed to be present somewhere in binary path. If you think that it's worth considering that addition (given the fact that you also have luatex available now), feel free to add it. If not, it's also OK without it. It might also be that you have already added that, I don't know as I don't have debian to try it out. Mojca

Hi, Hot on the heels of the luatex 0.25.3 release Hans has released (yet another) new context current (the sixth or seventh this week). There are a few bugfixes for the mkiv bugs reported yesterday, but that's about it. Luatex beta 0.25.3 released

Hi all, I have just uploaded the archives for luatex 0.25.3, yet another bugfix release to the 0.25 series. Bugs fixed: * Pdftex bug no. 936 (sarovar) regarding vertical positioning of embedded PDF files if depth parameter is given. * Luatex gave bogus lua return values for the tex.wd/hd/dp values of void boxes * A few bugfixes in mplib (square pens caused hangs, elliptical pens caused confused output) * Hyphenation of uppercase words (\uchyph) was broken * Output image placements corrected for all 8 transform cases also when artbox etc. is used * There were missing maketexstring() calls in error messages * Math display contents were sometimes prematurely freed during the placement of the equation number * Setting \language=-1 could cause crashes due to an array index going out-of-bounds Other news: * build.sh.ppc is added to the source distribution. This is a script that crosscompiles osx ppc binaries from osx intel * tex.box[<chardef name>] is now supported (but still experimental) * a bunch of compiler warnings are removed * The fontforge library now dump AAT feature tags as and "<id,flags>" string * The new function font.nextid() predicts the next assigned font id * Some source code changes are backported from texlive The archives (source and binaries) can be downloaded from supelec, as usual: http://foundry.supelec.fr/projects/luatex/ Bugs and feature requests can be added to the issue tracker at http://tracker.luatex.org Have fun, Taco

New context release

Hi all, Hans has been very busy today. Just now, he uploaded the fourth "current" of today, and we now believe to have fixed all reported bugs introduced by 2008.04.15. Of course we cannot be sure, but please have look at http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Release_Note for everything we did change and patch in the past 24 hours. problem with new context and old pdftex

Hi all, I am trying to compile the pdftex manual with context 2008.04.11 and pdftex 1.40.3 (TeX Live 2007 for Debian), and I am getting these errors: ... subsection : 3.2 Compiling ./pdftex-t.tex:867: Missing \endcsname inserted. <to be read again> \$ \trackedfilename ->\$ HOME/pdftex \setxvalue #1->\expandafter \xdef \csname #1 \endcsname \dodoreadfile ...setxvalue {fn..\trackedfilename } {\readfilename \ifcase \pr... \dohyphenateword ...ile {#3}\donothing \donothing \else #3\fi \else #3\fi }\... \filename #1->{\tttf \hyphenatedfile {#1} } l.867 \filename {\$HOME/pdftex} , on a~\UNIX\ system the following steps are ? But more interesting some errors from pdftexconfig.tex: (./pdftex-t-pdftex-t.tmp) (/etc/texmf/tex/generic/config/pdftexconfig.tex /etc/texmf/tex/generic/config/pdftexconfig.tex:6: Illegal unit of measure (pt inserted). <to be read again> \hskip \obeyedspace ->\hskip \zeropoint \hbox to \onepoint {}\hskip \zeropoint l.6 \pdfpagewidth=210 true mm ? and the same for pdfpageheight, pdfhorigin, ... etc etc. After that it is getting really crazy: context tries to load example.tex (whatever that may be, in my case something in TEXMFLOCAL): subsection : 3.7 Testing the installation (/usr/local/share/texmf/tex/latex/infbrief/example.tex /usr/local/share/texmf/tex/latex/infbrief/example.tex:1: Undefined control sequence. l.1 \documentclass [a4paper]{infbrief} ? The very same document worked before (context 2008.01.14 or so) without any problems. Am I missing something in the installation?
