Hello all, would it be possible to enhance the Cron Daemon commit emails by adding the commit message for every logged commit? Just having a list of changed files is nowhere as interesting as knowing what the changes were for :) Thanks, -- Giuseppe "Oblomov" Bilotta

0.29: Overlapping lines with OTF

Hello, when using OpenType fonts with beta 0.29, all lines are typeset at the same height, thus overlapping each other. This does not happen with T1 fonts nor with beta 0.27.0. I have attached the PlainTeX test file as well as the result in 0.27 and 0.29. Thanks in advance, Jonathan

Can't find file without extension

Transcript written on foobar.log. mpg@siegel:~% luatex foobar This is LuaTeX, Version snapshot-0.25.4-2008071722 (Web2C 7.5.7) ! I can't find file `foobar.tex'. <*> foobar Please type another input file name: Looks like luatex doesn't want to eat files without extensions, while pdftex accepts them. Is it a feature? Manuel.

I think this question has popped up before, but I couldn't find it. When I try to typeset any LaTeX document with the default T1 fonts, I get the following error: ! Font \T1/cmr/m/n/10=ecrm1000 at 10pt not loadable: metric data not found or bad. LuaTeX finds the file (as kpse.find_file shows) and in fact it should find it, because I have a copy in the local directory. If I switch to another font (ae, mathmazo, etc.) it works fine and I was able to typeset several documents by using the process_input_buffer to convert the 8-bit input to a pseudo utf8 text which can be applied inputenc to (ie, with active characters). Just a dirty trick, of course, but it worked. Another question. Has someone attempted to make LuaTeX/LaTeX compatible with existing T1 and the like fonts? (without using active characters, I mean). After reading the manual for 0.29 I've inferred this part is still under development. I'm reading the lua files from ConTeXt, so I presume I'll have more questions soon. Any further pointers? I'm interested mainly in LaTeX (LuaLaTeX?). Thanks Javier ------------------------- http://www.tex-tipografia.com

Core Dumped While Compiling Impatient

Hi, Taco, LuaTeX cored (sorry, the core dumped is too large so I cannot mail you directly) while compiling Karl's ``TeX for impatients''. It seems a bug in math mode. Please have a check. Thank you! (I generate the plain TeX format like this : \pdfoutput1\input plain\dump, and compile it using ``luatex -fmt=./plain.fmt book) Yue Wang

Luatex beta 0.29.0 released

Hi all, I have just uploaded the archives for luatex 0.29.0, another intermediate release leading up to TUG 2008. This release matches SVN revision #1450. (In case someone notices: yes, I forgot to update CHANGES) New features: * The embedded pdftex is now 1.40.9 (forthcoming) except for the following: - the png transparancy fix is skipped because it is in conflict with a macro-based solution offered by context mkiv. - LFS (PDF files > 2GiB) is not working yet. - Synctex is still missing * libpng, xpdf, and zlib are updated to their pdftex 1.0.9 levels * MPlib is updated to 1.090 * The syntax of buildpage_filter is changed to avoid confusion (and crashes). See the manual for the new calling convention. Bugs fixed compared to 0.28.0: * The previous bugfix for \languages skipping numbers was wrong. * Various compile-time warnings are suppressed * \pdfsetmatrix was broken * \pdfsave and \pdfrestore were broken * Valid user_defined whatsits nevertheless were generating errors.
