LuaTeX build error on sparc64/amd64 within TeX Live

For now I have disabled luatex in the build, due to luatex being in an experimental stage, but I thought it would be good to report this and get on top of it early rather than later. Problem with a test with ^^-notation.

Hello, I ran into a problem with the LaTeX-package listing related to the handling of extendedchars (it can be easily avoid by using extendedchars=false). I think I have tracked down the problem to the following difference between luatex and pdftex/xetex: \documentclass{article} \begin{document} \catcode`\^^00=13 \ifnum`^^00=0 ja \else nein \fi \end{document} When processed with LaTeX or XeLaTeX I get a document with "ja". Parameters must be numbered consecutively. <to be read again> ## l.1 \def \test ## 1{`##1'} \recatcode ...uaescapestring {\unexpanded {#1}}')} l.12 } ? x TeX interrupted. No pages of output. Transcript written on MacroParameterCharacter.log. So `#' is transformed into `##' when passed from TeX to Lua. Is this a bug or a feature? Jonathan
