One of ideas was to add a short footer to each mail on the mailing list, which would encourage more people to reply after they get a solution to their feature request or a bug report
This sounds like a very good idea; maybe we could write a page on the wiki to explain why we need help from the general users; it should be a better incentive than pointing people to the main pages of the wiki and of texshow (is there already such a page? Needless to say, I'm willing to write it, if necessary). In addition, I think the first two items should be switched, because that's the right order (above all we want people to tell if it's worked, and then, where applicable, wikify tips and tricks that can be relevant to other users). So I would favour something like this: * Did the solution work? Was the bug resolved? Please test and provide feedback for any answers you get on the list! * Help us improve the ConTeXt documentation: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/How_can_I_contribute_to_the_garden * Please help us collect new files for testing against bugs: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Test * Confirmed and unresolved bugs are collected on https://foundry.supelec.fr/tracker/?atid=161&group_id=21 Maybe it's already too long... but the idea of including a bucket load of links in the footer is familiar anyway; if you fill in the form at http://www.coge.org/contact.php?langue=anglais&receiver=9 you end up sending a mail to bureau@coge.org (my choir's board in Paris) with the following footer: ------ Découvrez nos nombreux autres services : - Consultez notre programmation en ligne : http://concerts.coge.org - Réservez vos billets en ligne : http://concerts.coge.org - Retrouvez nos enregistrements passés et commandez vos CDs en ligne : http://cd.coge.org - Ecoutez le podcast de nos concerts : http://podcast.coge.org - Abonnez-vous à notre lettre d'information trimestrielle : http://newsletter.coge.org - Envoyez une eCard du COGE à vos proches et amis : http://ecard.coge.org - Si vous souhaitez faire un don à l'association : http://don.coge.org ------ Le COGE :: La formation musicale des étudiants de Paris :: http://www.coge.org/ The last link is for making donations ;-) Arthur
