pdftex 1.50 crashes on either of the following here (cygwin):

% pdflatex
\synctex=1
\documentclass{minimal}
\stop

% pdftex
\synctex=1
\font\x=cmr12 x
\bye

I can't reproduce this. Maybe it's a Cygwin issue?
