It should be and at least snprintf is defined in stdio.h.
Anyway, I asked Gerben Weirda since he has compiled pdftex on OS X quite a
few times. He said:
But they do not look dangerous to me except the
pdfetexini.c:4279: warning: comparison is always false due to limited
range of data type
but I recall that I may have looked at that earlier and that it was
harmless as well.
