Hi,
- INSTALL says:
"The code of pdfTeX is in src/texk/web2c/pdfetexdir"
However, s/pdfetexdir/pdftexdir/
- pdftex.xml says that pdfTeX is an "extension of TeX which directly
generates PDF documents instead of DVI". Since it's routinely used to
generate DVI now, and even provides additional features in DVI mode,
this could be changed to "extension of TeX which allows direct
generatiion of PDF documents and provides micro-typographic (and
other) features in DVI and PDF mode". I'm also unsure whether
pdflatex really deserves special mentioning?
Regards, Frank
