[NTG-context] Variables in \useURL

Hi Group,
I want to insert a variable hyper reference into a pdf document. The following method does not work for some reason.

\def\hyperref{http://www.website <http://www.website/>.com/abc/def}
show \hyperref
Gives the correct answer but
\useURL[this_doc][\hyperref][][displayed text]
\from[this_doc]
Gives
hyperef%20 as the url

What am I doing wrong?
