Hi Jörg,

I didn’t know, but it seems to be.

Well, I would call it a ”breaking thinspace”.

Adding \hskp0pt enables the breaking.

    \starttext
    \hsize\zeropoint
    a\,b

    a\,\hskip0pt{}b
    \stoptext

I hope it might help,

Pablo
