line 1522 in tex.rb should be:

            runcommand([quoted(mpsengine),prognameflag(progname),formatflag(mpsengine,mpsformat),tcxflag,runoptions(mpsengine),mpname,mpsprocextras(mpsformat)])

filename -> mpname
