[NTG-context] Problems with MetaFun and registers

I have problems with the register macro in MetaFun.

When I try

\setMPlayer [test] [somepos-1] [location=c]

(which is essentially copied from the manual) in ConTeXt live I get the
following error message

Am I doing something wrong or is the register functionality broken in
ConTeXt 2006.10.13?
