The problem with TEXpage is not only related to math. Another example
with strange results:
\starttext
\startTEXpage
\chapter{Bla}
Hello world!\crlf
Hello world!
\stopTEXpage
\stoptext
I guess that \startTEXpage should be fixed before you start hacking
any math settings.
