De beroemde Feynman Lectures on Physics zijn nu via het web beschikbaar op http://www.feynmanlectures.info . “This New Millennium Edition ushers in a new era for The Feynman Lectures on Physics (FLP): the twenty-first century era of electronic publishing. FLP has been converted to eFLP, with the text and equations expressed in the LaTeX electronic typesetting language, and all figures redone using modern drawing software.” Wow! zou je zeggen. Het ziet er inderdaad zeer fraai uit. Het heeft ook kapitalen gekost (zoveel dat ze tot nu toe alleen deel 1 van de FLP hebben om kunnen zetten). Jammer dat ze dan in de voorwoorden en inleidigen triviale typesettingzaken als apostrophes, aanhalingstekens, kastlijnen e.d. verwaarloosd hebben. Je ziet dus aanhalingstekens als ``polishing'' maar soms ook "the mathematical methods of physics.''. Kastlijnen zijn drie min-tekens: students who---very surprisingly---understood. Gelukkig is het verderop in de tekst wel netjes. -- Johan
