Beste TeX-genoten,

voor onze bedrijfs-huisstijl maak ik gebruik van een LaTeX template in
een style file.  Voor de "List of abbreviations" pagina heb ik echter
nog geen bijzonder fraaie oplossing gevonden.
Dat ziet er nu zo uit:

\begin{basedescript}{\desclabelstyle{\pushlabel}\desclabelwidth{6em}}
  \item[DEM] Digital Elevation Model\vspace{-0.2cm} 
  \item[USGS] U.S. Geological Survey \vspace{-0.2cm} 
  \item[NetCDF] Network Common Data Format\vspace{-0.2cm} 
\end{basedescript}

Dit doet precies wat ik wil (vette item labels, ingesprongen tekst met
een links-uitgelijnde rand).  Ik vind de code alleen niet mooi voor
eindgebruikers: er is steeds een vspace nodig tussen de regels en
de basedescript regel is nogal complex.

Idealiter zou ik alleen willen zien

\begin{abbreviations}
  \item[DEM] Digital Elevation Model
  \item[USGS] U.S. Geological Survey
  \item[NetCDF] Network Common Data Format
\end{abbreviations}

Vragen:

- Is er een goede manier om alleen voor deze lijst de regelafstand
  tussen de items wat te verkleinen?

- Kan ik dit in een eigen "list" environment vouwen zodat
  de code details in de style file verstopt blijven in plaats van in
  het document zelf?
