Hello Peter, I hope you are the right person to contact about copyright questions on eTeX ("The NTS team" being difficult to define and to contact).
We are in the process of finishing the next release of pdfTeX and clarifying the license of pdf{e}TeX.
pdfTeX is GPL, which leaves at least me a bit confused about the license of pdfeTeX (those files in web2c/pdftexdir). Oviously there are three licenses which must be aligned: - the license of TeX - the license of eTeX (the same as TeX; only NTS Team instead of DEK)
Hi Martin, That's what the files say. Actually it has been decided on some Dante meeting (about 2 years ago) that the eTeX be transferred to me. This just has not yet been made it into the files (essentially because they have not been changed since then).
I just wondered about the output of 'pdfetex --version' and have fixed pdfetexextra.h in p4 (still for rc3). Best regards Martin -- Martin Schröder, ms@artcom-gmbh.de ArtCom GmbH, Lise-Meitner-Str 5, 28359 Bremen, Germany Voice +49 421 20419-44 / Fax +49 421 20419-10 http://www.artcom-gmbh.de
