thanks for the tip -- it seems to be somehow related to gs? How to you use this tool to check pdf? I took a quick look and use 'pdftool draw -r 72' as the command for checking.

And poppler also has the xpdf tools, probably with an improved pdf parser.

And yes, I'm interested in the script. :-)
