Hi, the pdftex manual writes that \pdfpagebox (integer) globally overrides the pdf-box-spec option given to \pdfximage. But in pdftex.web \pdfpagebox seems to be only a fall-back value, if no such option is given to \pdfximage. Should the docu be corrected, or the code? Regards, Hartmut

if it's an option to pdfximage then it best cannot be a global override, so the docu is wrong then Hans ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: 038 477 53 69 | fax: 038 477 53 74 | www.pragma-ade.com | www.pragma-pod.nl -----------------------------------------------------------------

Are we talking about the primitive formerly known as \pdfoptionalwaysusepdfpagebox? If so, then yes, that was meant as a global override, so pdftex.web would be wrong. Best Martin
