Hello,
I'm getting many error messages:
" Synchronize ERROR: unknown node type 12 "
with the latest beta:
" mtx-context | warning: synctex is enabled ... This is LuaTeX, Version beta-0.87.0 (TeX Live 2016/W32TeX/dev) "
and with the MWE:
---- \starttext \section{Principy} \stoptext ----
- see the attached log.
The error messages are printed only to the stdout, not in the compilation log file.
Anyway, a valid .pdf file is successfully produced, so it seems "Synchronize ERROR" is rather warning.
So what's going on?
Note that I'm running test with synctex enabled - the message might be related to synctex.
Best regards,
Lukas

indeed, so for the moment don't use synctex (the syntax code has some hardcoded node numbers that are wrong)

Great—so how does one turn on/off synctex?

synctex should be disabled by default; it's enabled by --synctex , i.e.
$> context --synctex <tex file>

Some editors (like TeXworks, TeXShop, ...) enable it by default. In those cases it has to be explicitly turned off somewhere in the engine file or engine settings. And the editor loses quite a bit of functionaltiy.

hm, normally i'd turn of such features explicitly in the document header (the more one turns on, the slower the run) (ok, i never turn on that kind of stuff anyway)

Thanks, Luigi, Mojca. I have disabled synctex but will enable it once a version that works with the latest luatex is available for the standalone. BTW, synctex in TeXShop (which I use) does not really do much when processing prd files as I normally do.
