Yes, this works. But my example was too simple. I actually have: \starttables[|p(5cm)|lI|] \NC hmm \NC bla \NC\MR \stoptables and this one \starttables[o0|i(3cm)p(5cm)|lI|] \NC hmm \NC bla \NC\MR \stoptables does not work. I don't understand what is going on here! Wolfgang
