Using today's beta (2009-06-03), my abbreviations seem to be upset by the \usemodule[bib] command. Here is a simple test case in which the first line is okay, but the second line, with ! after the abbreviation, fails. \enableregime[il1] \abbreviation {KF} {Kalman filter} \usemodule[bib] \starttext Once upon a time, Rudolph Kalman invented the \KF. Either update the bib module from http://modules.contextgarden.net (please do), or add a \protect at this location of your input file (ugly hack). Best wishes, Taco
