Hi Hans and Taco, Mkiv does not like \{ .. \} in the text input, it thinks that they should be in math mode. For example, \starttext I need \{ braces \} \stoptext gives ! Missing $ inserted. <inserted text> $ <to be read again> \odelimiter \lbrace ->\odelimiter "4020066"030008 l.2 I need \{ braces \} ? Aditya

Another one (perhaps bugs come in pairs) ∞(\infty in utf, incase it does not come out right in email) does not typeset. I think this used to work in earlier releases. \starttext I am infinity $∞$ \stoptext The file compiles fine, but there is no ∞ symbol in the output. Aditya

we need to complete the tables in math-ini as well as char-def ... i occasionally add symbols but it's a tedious job so, if you miss one, just send me a magic lines Hans ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: 038 477 53 69 | fax: 038 477 53 74 | www.pragma-ade.com | www.pragma-pod.nl -----------------------------------------------------------------

I think that I finally understand what math-ini.lua does. I will add entries from math-tex.tex, so that atleast traditional tex symbols work. (It will be slightly slow, in a week or so). Aditya

good! keep track of anomalities, because we can use a 'wishlist' for the upcoming gyre math extensions and luatex math extensons Hans ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: 038 477 53 69 | fax: 038 477 53 74 | www.pragma-ade.com | www.pragma-pod.nl -----------------------------------------------------------------
