Hi, This is TeXExec | version 6.2.1 - 1997-2009 - PRAGMA ADE/POD I am writing a presentation like this in French: \language[fr] \mainlanguage[fr] %\enableregime[utf-8] \enableregime[latin1] \usemodule[pre-fuzzy] \usemodule[amsl] \useMPlibrary[txt] my terminal encoding is set to UTF-8. Running texec on it yields a bunch of weird characters where the accents should be. What am I doing wrong? thanks, Pau

I am writing a presentation like this in French:
\language[fr] \mainlanguage[fr] %\enableregime[utf-8] \enableregime[latin1] \usemodule[pre-fuzzy] \usemodule[amsl] \useMPlibrary[txt]
my terminal encoding is set to UTF-8.
Running texec on it yields a bunch of weird characters where the accents should be.
What am I doing wrong?
Please try to prepare a minimal example that shows the problem, not just the header. What is the main reason against using UTF-8? Mojca
That did it... thanks...
But it is strange, because I had a similar set up with Spanish and it
worked... in any case, thanks
