bold symbols in formula don't work
Hello context list, is there a bug in the mathbold-feature? I tried the several things, for example the attached example, without success. Thanks in advance. Xenia
I forgot: context --version mtx-context | ConTeXt Process Management 0.60 mtx-context | mtx-context | main context file: /home/context/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/context.mkiv mtx-context | current version: 2013.03.05 19:10 On 13.03.2013 21:52, Xenia wrote:

Thanks for noticing. There's a macro being overloaded ... fixed in next beta (later tonight). For what it's worth, that example compiled properly for me (with bold
where it should be) using beta 0.60 build 2013.03.11 00:17
Was this bug already fixed in that beta build?
Thanks,
Jon

The current context will only work with a luatex 0.75+ so what is 0.60 here?

Indeed. There is also some speedup e.g. in logging (pending further speedup in the engine, which makes a difference when using the windows console that has a high update rate which is not that nice for one-by-one char tex output, esp when running rdp on a headless server). Hans btw, luatex/mkiv is in many cases now faster than pdftex/mkii ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: 038 477 53 69 | voip: 087 875 68 74 | www.pragma-ade.com | www.pragma-pod.nl -----------------------------------------------------------------

This is context (mkiv) 0.60, which I've been keeping up-to-date from contextgarden as betas are released; my luaTeX is also current (from minimals as well).

I'm impressed with the speed of mkiv, coming directly from pdfLaTeX. I skipped right over mkii; the last time I considered this question (back in ~2008) recommendations seemed to be to stick with LaTeX, but this time (I think) the MacTeX install docs recommended starting out with ConTeXt/LuaTeX. I'm certainly glad that I did; my only wish if for better documentation, and I'll try to help with this on the wiki.

Hm, with the new version 2013.03.14 17:31, it works, but I still get an error message, see log-file. Thanks, Xenia
